LSU could have over 50 in the NFL by the first game of the regular seson

I actually thank that number will be higher than 50 with

LF7
Jamal Admas
Tre White
K. Beckwith
M. Dupre
D. Riley
E. Pocic

I am pretty sure all these guys make opening day NFL rosters

About the only positive there is from the whole Katrina disaster is LSU now harvesting great Houston prospects whose families were displaced and never returned, except to occasionally visit their extended family who never left Louisiana.

I've said it in many threads, I live here in Houston and hire hundreds of high school kids from all over the Houston area every summer. Houston HS kids in general, not just the athletes are obsessed with LSU. It's the perfect mix of staying home and leaving the state for them. LSU is a very trendy place to go for Houston kids.

Our Db and WR class will be better ranked than most colleges entire recruiting class. Definitely thinking top overall class in 18.

Typical journalistic fail by ESPN. Didn't they forget someone? A seldom heard-of, unheralded ball carrier from New Orleans?

I can't believe we haven't gotten any basketball players out of Houston over the last 10 years, if you're using the Katrina/Louisiana ties argument. JJ dropped the ball there. I hope Will Wades plan to hit Houston hard pays off.

Broad statement, but as a Houston born, Louisiana raised kid, I prefer Louisiana.

Yes we might get over 50 this year with the new guys, but you cannot assume all the 46 from last year will still be in the league.

Lot of Louisianans moved there long ago when Houston took away the oil market from New Orleans and the LA area in general. So, a lot of kids grow up there with lots of family back in LA, makes it an easy transition to go to LSU.

I think because UTA and aTm are so hard to get into, many Houston non-athlete HS grads head to LSU for college. Been that way for a while. Simply put, LSU has a real numbers presence in H-town, and every athlete probably knows someone in BR.

We'll take em...

Houston has the largest out of state LSU Alumni Association chapter so the support in Houston is Yuuggee. That is why LSU started playing the Advocare Kickoff game at NRG. LSU is attempting to annex Houston from a collegiate standpoint.

Another issue is that UT has a high admission requirement like you have to be in the top 10% of your HS class so a lot of Houston kids come to LSU as an alternative to UT.
