Just picked up a CB...looks like he and Harris will be our last 2 OLBs in the class and then Guillory, Dumervil, Evans And Malcolm Green/Gentry

Let's go steal another LB commit from Oklahoma hahaha. Phillips has been pretty good for us.

I'm all for this. Saban's LSU strategy was if two guys were equal to take the guy from Louisiana over OOS because the in state guy would play harder for the state school. I hate Saban but totally agree with him on this. Take the best guys from Louisiana. Playing for LSU means more for them.

Aranda has been watching him close. Really thought he was more of a back burner guy, but looking like they decided to go ahead and move on him instead of waiting out Webb and Ojulari. I trust Dave's evaluation over my own (and most others, too), so the kid is obviously killing it this season.

Do you think he has the length to pass rush?

He is 6'1 200 and I am just not seeing it and where he fits unless he is going to play safety. He doesn't have the body to carry very much weight.

Webb is all Bama now IMO. Ojulari has better size than this kid

I agree on Webb and I think they wanna get OLB wrapped up and with donell likely going to LSU UF now instead of A&M Bama I think they think they can get both of them on board and focus on Evans, Dumervil, Gentry, Greene etc as long term nsd guys

He's small, but I hope you're right. He seems like either a traditional 4-3 OLB, a mobile SS, or a coverage/sideline to sideline ILB. None of those things address the pass rush issue, but hopefully other guys (Harris, Bryant, Clowney) can help address that. How is Clowney, by the way?

Looks like a pass coverage lb it's good to have scheme options from game to game

How fast and agile is he? He may be used more to “get in the QBs face” to cause bad throws and decisions more so than a “get the sack” typeof LB. If he’s fast and shifty, he can get around a big lineman.

Wasn’t that kind of what Chavis was doing?

I think Cooper and Marcel Brooks will be your hybrid SS/OLB types like Jacoby.

As for the pass rush. Donnell will be your premium pass rusher, and then you see what you can get from Bryant and Clowney opposite of him.
