Why do we have to scramble for 3 stars late? Why didn't we have 4s and 5s committed already like all the other teams above us. We shouldn't start out slow each year. We should start out fast.

Kevin Toliver? Xavier Lewis? Isaiah Washington? Guice? Ferguson? Brossette? Magee? All 4*/5* and committed really early...

and what about 2016?

Franks, Sullivan, Anderson, Pettigrew? All 4* or 5* players commmitted 1 year or more in advance...

and 2017? oh just the #1 recruit in the country already committed

idiot

Week before signing day is always good for posts like this. Guys that haven't followed all year demanding answers. It's only going to get worse

I have not been heaping praise on Grimes recruiting and still am not. Having said that, compare last 2 years with Studrawa with 1 year of Grimes (hired in Jan 2014 means anything after Feb 2014 is Grimes). Rivals #s

Studrawa Pocic 6.0, Malone 5.6, Clapp 5.8, Brumfield 5.8, Boutte 5.9, Dodd 5.8 (in 2 years)

Teuhema 6.1, Domond 5.8 (JUCO guy by Grimes), Magee 5.7, Brown 5.8, Weathersby 5.9 (my prediction from weeks ago) (in 1 year)

The improvement is obvious to me 1 year vs 2 years IF the OL class of 2015 is the one I stated

Not sunshine...mathematics.

Grimes wins both in quantity per year and rating per player.

Getting spurned late by 3 stars kinda sucks, but thanks Chief.

Looks to me like the same caliber of players just more of them. If that was class to class I would have said wash.

When did M Tuehama convert to OG. I thought he was a Tackle then all o f a sudden I heard during all star week the coaches played him at OG. Did he settle into that role or is he still an OT candidate. This maybe why we are adding more offers.

Yeah, that is why I didn't give Grimes a huge vote of confidence yet. He at least is getting the numbers he should along the OL...something Studrawa obviously failed at. But as others have stated, he needs to be in the real studs along the OL...even if he has to go out of state to do it. Others grab them from out of their states already.

I think that Grimes may have to reverse the reception but prospects..."but I don't see a lot of recent LSU OL in the NFL."

Yeah, and Toliver, X. Lewis, Adams, Jefferson, Paris, White, and all the other DBs are going to be making a lot of tackles.

Which doesn't mean a damn thing if they don't produce. Is there a trophy given for this arbitrary Rivals #?

There HAS to be some 3 stars in Louisiana that we could persue! I get that grimes has connections around that area, but IMO we should concentrate on LA when trying to make these last grasp 3 star flips...flip an in state 3 star.

But, it's only an offer and I'm sure we have offers out to in staters as well.

Not to split hairs but Teuhema is coming here because he's following his brother. I don't know if I would attribute his commit to Grimes.
