Great scheme fit for Matt Canada's offense. They will use him in the slot, getting him the ball on jet sweeps and in space. Mickey Joseph doing a great job recruiting him.

quote:

After making consecutive visits to LSU leading up to the annual spring game, Keys made another fast decision: He named a leader. That would be the Tigers, who impressed the blue-chip wide receiver with his fit in the offense and budding relationship with area recruiter Mickey Joseph.

“They’re my top school,” Keys told SEC Country. “I want to get back up there with my mom so she can see the other facilities. We didn’t get a chance during the spring game, but it was awesome. Yeah, it (the spring game) definitely helped.”

He's a really good fit in Canada's offense.

Kid runs a 4.3 and is quick enough to cut and change direction without loosing hardly any of that speed. He will be awesome on jet sweeps.

My ideal class would be Keys, Eagles, Marshall, and Jamarr Chase. Each one brings a little something different and I think this is our best 4 we could potentially sign based on our targets

Give me Marshall, Jason, Keys, Chase, and Bolden and you will be bleeding teams from their teeth every game.

McDonough #35 is probably your state champs next year in 4-A, so Keys will have ample opportunity to push his stock higher and higher all year.

I sure hope you are correct. I'm an alum of McDonogh #35 and proud member of the alumni association.

I follow high school ball closely in-state. I also have a friend down south who is close to those programs.

Both Neville and Karr lose everything. Neville will be very similar to the their 2010 season where John Diarse was a Sophomore. Karr will be the weakest it has been in about 8 years.

McDonough returns a very solid and established core group with the best talent. I'd be shocked if they do not win it next year. Warren Easton will be tough again also.

Another part of the article I found very interesting:

quote:

As dazzling as the LSU offense was to Keys, it made an even greater impression on someone equally as important: his mother.

“She was like, ‘Oh, you’re going to be running around the field like that?‘” Keys laughed. “I was showing her the guys in the spots where they would play me if I went to LSU and she was amazed by how many touches they were getting in the slot.”

Russell Gage going in motion 3 times on 1 play.

It's funny how people can watch a game and see completely different things. Others said there was a lot of motion, but Gage didn't get many touches.

Not saying either side is right, just thought it was funny how people see things differently.

I really hope this is just something they do in practice. Everything else looked great to me, but this seemed pretty gimmicky.

Keys recently got a nice bump on the 247 composite.

It sounded like she said that at the closed practice they attended
