Listen, it's simple, and here is my thinking on it
Texas will be A LOT better this year than people believe, and I've said this since the offseason
TAMU will not get rid of Sumlin because it's likely he finishes with a 9-10 win season.
Houston will not get into the Big 12, because they don't provide anything new for the Big 12. They don't have any other good sports teams, the don't have a new recruiting ground, and they don't have a new media market. It's pretty silly when you think about it.

Well, for one, a bigger university like LSU or Alabama can offer him whatever resources he needs especially on the recruiting end. Better facilities. More money. Just to name a few. Easier stepping stone for a job in the NFL too if he's looking for that.

Tom Herman is NOT going to come here. Don't give me stats and BS. Houston will pony up the money and they will be in a much easier little 12 power 5. Why would he leave that?
ETA: Btw, these coaches don't get where they're at by avoiding competition. I'd say that some of them may even crave it. Thus, any good coach that's ever come into the SEC. If these coaches were afraid of competition, they wouldn't leave where they have more control over things at the college level to go to the NFL where it's basically a crapshoot as far as the talent they end up with.

Ed Oliver just got a safety at UH. I followed recruiting long before there was ever a board.
That included watching Dunn, Slash and others leave while we tried like hell to convince them to attend LSU. My friends were all ex LSU players and we worked hard through their high schools. It was been a lot of traveling all over finding kids.

Y'all act like reading 247 or knowing some random kids friend or follow them on Twitter like they are some God, makes you an expert. Well here is the reality. The ONLY reason I joined this thread was the comment people on here and the Rant are saying about Tom Herman. I LOVE MY SCHOOL and back it up every year with TAF fees and season tickets to football and baseball. I had basketball tickets for 10 years or so at one point. So I invest in MY school.
I wish we can get herman more than you can imagine - go look at my comments.
