247 team rankings (portal)

The reason they were low was because players weren’t ranked. They have updated most of everyone except for Gardner I believe.

Still time to grow from that.

No. LSU was always at the top, but 247 did not rank the guys that transferred in.

They have updated that now.

Wingo, and Shorts will secure the number 1 transfer portal class for LSU.

Noah Cain is a three star transfer; he was a four star high school recruit.

Only five star transfers are Williams, Dart and Ricks that I know of.

Joe Foucha, Arkansas' 3 year starter and team captain at safety only got a 89 3-star transfer rating

Greg Brooks, also an Arkansas 3 year starter at NB but probably not as good as Foucha (any Ark fan would agree there), got a 90 4-star transfer rating

Landon Jackson, who didnt play defense at all his first year here despite us playing 10 different players at his position, got a 90 4-star transfer rating

Mcglothern who started some games this year for us, got a 91 4-star transfer rating. Which I tend to agree with that, but no idea why Foucha especially is so low by comparison.

Edit - Koy Moore got a 83 3-star rating, what?

Some of these make no sense

Cain was a 5* way too early in his highschool career and was adjusted to a 4* later on.

His highest rating according to 24/7 Sports was 0.9925 back in 2017 which dropped to 0.9568 by the end of highschool. His adjusted rating as a transfer since then is now 0.8900. Still really solid

Meh, not really. These rankings by total points are misleading. Teams that take more transfers are going to be higher. The better view is the average rating of the recruit. I'd like to see LSU's average rating if you took out the punter and long snapper, be a better measure.

It definitely makes sense…is there a team with more opportunities to start or get big time minutes than LSU?
