Chase is big and physical with good speed.
Better body for the next level.
Watkins wow. Those highlights were phenomenal.
Great field vision, great cut ability and his break away speed just wow.
I was leaning Chase but now either one and I would be stoked to get Watkins.

LSU has six or so blue chips on their list with only four spots avaialable. If you leave any one of the six out, you could make a case he might be better than the one you take.

As I said earlier Chase is the better WR right now because he is a pure WR that catches well, runs routes well and is technically sound. But Watkins is a much better playmaker with the ball in his hands, and he can become a WR because his hands are that good. He would be in the slot all the way because you just want to get the ball to him whether it's from the halfback position or in the slot because he makes plays and runs away from people. If LSU has a way to take both they def should.
shite, someone made a comment about the level of competition that Watkins was playing against to stupidly try and downplay the kid's talent, hell, I would argue that Florida is the one state where the football level is much better than LA .

Were losing So much on offense i say take Watkins & Chase. Unless you know both DJax & KT2 are declaring. Watkins is special, keep him away from bama or he'll hurt us starting next year.

As it pertains to receiver Chase and Marshall can compliment each other. Watkins is your prototypical slot,return man and jet sweeps. So it's depends on what OC we'll get if Canada leave.

Happy New Years all! I appreciate all of you who have responded to this thread rationally without cutting me down. There is a slight misunderstand which I did not communicate well enough. I am not arguing that Watkins is better than Chase, I am just saying if it is true that he wants in the we take him on Jan 4th and do not risk coming up empty handed on both Chase and Watkins. I just feel it is the less risky proposition considering he few spots available and waiting for all 4 slots on Feb 7 is sort of risky. Yes both Chase and Watkins have had flaky recruitments and gone back and fourth, so I feel that if one is willing to come full circle and get back
In let’s take him and call it a day at WR.

I agree with almost everything you mentioned OP. It sucks bc he is going to kill it at Bama. Watkins can flat out ball. Taking the kicker really hurt us with the hard limit of 25. Watkins was all LSU until we got into the number crunch. I just trust the staff and hope this means that they feel really good about Chase. If we miss out on both, that would be terrible!
