This is a great article on 2016 LSU softball signee Nicky Dawson. She is positively one of the best athletes in the USA and has a chance to become the first athlete in Louisiana history to win both the 60 meter dash and the powerlifting championships in the same year. A big reason why this class was the #2 overall class in the USA. Way to go Coach Beth!

He's right. I coached her on a boys 12U American Legion Baseball for two years and she was our#3 hole hitter, ace pitcher, SS, and catcher. She is a great kid and incredible athlete who is a direct reflection of good parenting. Her father Charlie was a catcher in the Indians organization I believe and is a local contractor but was a great role model for her as I remember.

That is absolutely classic, legend stuff right there. Fabulous athlete, could probably run track or play basketball on the SEC level if she chose to. On top of that could power lift or be a high level kick boxer, MMA type athlete. Pretty serious addition to LSU softball!
