What's going on with us not getting any Louisiana recruits? I'm starting to get a little concerned here. Are we not recruiting anyone at home?

we'll get pretty much all the ones we want but we are looking more nationally. 2022 is a really good class in LA, it's probably the best since 2014 although we don't have a single five star yet.

There are better players around the country. We will likely get the top 2 players in the state, as well as everyone else we really want (save maybe Brian Thomas).

We are a national brand. We don't have to settle for lesser players just because they're in the state.

Louisiana recruits like Kaine think they are bigger than they are. So they are being very different and signing on with a coach who will be retired before their eligibility is up.

Kaine = Hootie

Why are you concerned about just Louisiana recruits? LSU is a national brand, we should be able to pick and choose players from across the country we want. The years of us having to take 20 in state recruits are over. I promise you the players we want in state we will get minus maybe 1 or 2. Point is, LSU isn’t just about getting Louisiana kids, if there are better kids across the country, that should be our focus, and it looks like it is.

Are you really bashing a kid because he didn’t commit here when he didn’t even have an offer?

I mean would you rather a team full of La. recruits and be decent are recruit nation wide, get better talent at certain positions and win Titles? there comes a time that u have to tell the La. recruits that we don't take, good luck and we wish u well and move forward, no hard feelings

There are a handful of players with offers in hand that can jump on the train at any time

You should be concerned. I heard there’s a secret deal in place that Ed will never sign another Louisiana kid. Just completely ignore the current offers out to Sage Ryan, Masson Smith, Brian Thomas, Chris Hilton etc.

Also for sure forget about the fact that it’s may.

No we aren’t. Oregeron said he’s not born and raised in Louisiana so he will not allow anyone from Louisiana to come to LSU.

6 of top 10 are WR we don’t need that many especially when we can take better players at that position. We will take who we want from LA and fill need elsewhere. It’s a good thing for the program. O can still lock down the state if he wants to any given year.

LSU, Clemson, Alabama and Ohio State can recruit nationally now. In state players need to jump on the bandwagon or could lose a spot.

Coach O said from day one. “We’re going after the best players in the country”. Yes, a few Louisiana kids will be left behind. This is what ALL big time programs do!

Coach O is paid handsomely to win football games and compete at the highest level.....LSU is a national brand and that is the reason why we can attract players from across the nation. Louisiana players are awesome, but the Tigers have many options in every state these days. Get used to it....

Actually:

objective 1: lock down Louisiana

No other state is like LA. Hard to say “like all big time programs do” cause they can’t do it like LSU !

Half of the La top 10 are WR. We can't stack at one position.

Lots of HS WRs end up making great DBs; just saying...
If I’m not mistaken, Louisiana produces more professional athletes than any other in the country. Plus, LSU just had 20 players (14 drafted) sign NFL contracts. Moving forward, LSU will get who they want; in state and out.
