Look at the guy's offers. Do you see any of the QB guru's offering him ?

He got offers from the following:

Oklahoma State
Arkansas State
California
Cincinnati
Indiana
ULL
Memphis
Ole Miss

Seriously, we are super happy about getting a QB that doesn't have an offer from any team in the top 8 right now?

Is LSU a top 8 team?

Not at the moment, we are currently 7-4, so regardless if you think we're a top 8 team we aren't performing like one.

He's also super lightweight, or at least appears so

He's recommitted, so he's good again.

Losing you is not a big deal.

Losing a QB that seems destined for great things is a big deal.

Well Cal just had the #1 overall draft pick at QB and Memphis had a guy go in the first round last year as well. Ole Miss recruited the #1 QB in the country last year too, and Oklahoma State has had a first round draft pick at QB more recently than LSU.

That list isn't as weak as you think it is.

That's the point you guys are missing. NFL talent isn't equivalent to College football talent. The question is has any of those teams even come close to competing for the final 4 in the last few years? No.

Look at the QB's that have won a national title and tell me how many of them are doing great in the NFL?

He doesn't have a ton of official offers because he has been an LSU lock for a year...

I do understand, and also understand when a player is over rated and not the QB that we need.

Do we know the type of QB we need? Orgeron has changed his tune in just 9 weeks.

Watch and see that list will grow exponentially if teams think he isn't an LSU lock like before!

You can spin it however you want, but losing an elite 11 QB commit is a big deal.
