oh yeah the glen oaks in the 90s' and early 2000s' were the only local school that gave catholic high trouble and beat them a few times

Catholic sure did come out on the losing end in a lot of these contests.

haha
Id say the 2006 Catholic, Dutchtown game at olympia was the biggest for me. We won 37-3 and that was a great feeling
I think there was a total of 20+ D1 players that played in that game (16 on our side, 5+ on dutchtowns side)
Eddie Lacy
Kelvin York
Kelvin York
Ben Saia
Jeremy Stewart
Matt Broha
Jason Peters
Ryan Lewis
Thomas Broussard
Adam Betrand
Todd Lee
Devin Walker
I could go on.
I think that was the most people at a game in BR since the Catholic Evangel game in 1999. I think 10k was their.

quote:Neille had a fullback named David Moses who ran over the entire Catholic defense that game. Took 4 of them to bring him down.
92 neville vs catholic the score was actually 35-14.

2008, Olympia Stadium: St. Amant 6 - Catholic 3 2009, Memorial Stadium: Catholic 3 - St. Amant 0 Those were two hard hitting defensive games.
Those games never happened
I know for a FACT that both of these games happened - I played in both games.

This years Glen Oaks squad will restore the program. Aaron Wright (2012) is one of the top athletes in the state

I think he is about a decade off. I seem to remember those 2 scores happened back to back when I played around the '99 seasons.

That's right, messed that up. It was 1998 and 1999.

1965 game between Baton Rouge High and Sulphur, when BRHS won the 4-A (highest) state championship. They had George Bevin on the team.

The Catholic and Acadiana quarter final game this year. Catholic was down 28-7 at the half and came back to win 35-28. I could feel the intensity from the stands
Ive seen lots of great high school games but this one is the best.
Probably the greatest Catholic High comeback with some of the most clutch plays I ever saw to keep the Bears alive.
Also the 2008 Episcopal-UHigh game, game Episcopal shoulda won but still exciting
