Also found this "Collins has narrowed it down to" tidbit in a Scout (Brandon Huffman) recruiting notebook: Subscription article

Lsu is deep at DE. I hope Torshiro can play LB since La traditionally doesn't produce LBers relative to DLine, etc.

The future of LB is more promising than i can remember. If we close Devall then,
Trey Granier
Lamar Louis
Torshiro
Feist the "Beast"
Devall

After reading all the articles I really feel that he likes both teams. It will come down to the seasons and great games during those visits.

I'd put an LSU lean on just from proximity and growing up a fan.

I think he will, but he could be great at either spot. Just think how good he'll get when he gets some actual playing time.

I think you make a very good point about the seasons. Obviously, if Bama loses 3 again and lsu wins the sec and or national title, then lsu could become even more attractive. the same applies the other way if lsu loses 3 and Bama has the good year. I still think LC ends up In P & G in the end if the seasons are similar with the family and friends factor.

Yea I definately hope we can close on Devall.

Thats a great LB list especially coming from LB deprived Louisiana. I hope we can find a spot to add Otha Peters in there. Sucks LSU missed out on Lorenzo Phillips and his pass rush ability(even though I don't think his recruitment is over even though I'm not sure LSU will have a spot for him but who knows). But I really would love to add Otha Peters and his 100+ tackles, 6 sacks, and 6 forced fumbles AS A JUNIOR!!! That guy hits hard and is very intense on the field. Add Devall and Otha and that is a better than stellar LB class
