FWIW, a Baylor alum that is a client of mine just told me that Art Briles was with Lache last night and they expect him to stay home in the Waco/Temple area and commit to the Bears tomorrow.

Now that WOULD be the shocker. Memphis would be as well.

Going to Oregon would make no sense when they already have Barner and James, who will be there for 3 more years and are Lache's exact style of back. Toss in Dontae Williams and that's a pretty crowded backfield

Robert Griffin and Lache running spread option would be pretty nasty

Now I believe in fair chase but when the ranch accross the road put up four miles of high fence and the rancher that you share your eastern boundry line also puts a high fence what's a small rancher to do. I have watched deer follow my neighbors high fence trying to chase a doe only to lead him right into the road. When the deer get into the road at my northeastern border they then start to go east between the two high fences and run for miles due east to never return. I have also lost five doe, 3 yearling bucks and 2 yearling doe before hunting season even began. I have a plan to prevent it from happening next year while I add Black Buck Antilope. The guy in the picture with Lache was the Temple 10 grade place kicker at the sports banquet last week.

I agree. And I still think distance is a factor for a kid who has openly professed how important his family is to him...

welp, Baylor fans seem pretty convinced... once my client told me about a pending Lache commitment this morning, I checked with a few other BU people. They all heard this too, and are really excited. Apparently, good ol Larry Porter has told some people close to him that it's between Memphis and Baylor.

Really impressive class for BU coming off two 4-8 seasons... They could have 3 4-star DBs + Lache heading this class.

one major flaw in the baylor commit...

how long does art briles stay at baylor? if you're a star recruit, can coach briles convince you that he is a baylor bear for the long haul.

there are far too many programs up the food chain for art briles at baylor... anything is possible but lache's making a big mistake if he commits to the bears... down the food chain in the big xii - little television... most exciting thing about waco is it bisects the distance between austin and dallas.

Well, if Lache goes to Baylor or Oregon then so be it. I would love to see him commit and subsequently sign with the Tigers, but if it doesn't happen it is not the end of the world.

Seriously, I like At Briles as a coach, but worrying about Baylor poaching Lache shouldn't be on the list of things that concern you. If that is how he plans on "shocking" everyone then more power to him. Reference point...it's Waco and Baylor is the Vandy of the Big 12. If that floats your boat, then I say go for it Mr. Seastrunk.

If he came to Memphis, there would be a parade for Porter before his first game. People here got excited about 3-star DeAngelo Williams when he signed with the Tigers. Of course, he turned out pretty well for a 3-star.

This. If it happens, I'll have a newly chosen Texas team to bandwagon. More 11am Fox Sports Southwest games to watch starting next season.

And this thread is creepy as frick.

I wouldn't mind him going to Baylor. I might be going there this fall. Would be a plus to have a good football team to be able to cheer on (or at least entertaining) with Griffin & Seastrunk. Plus they have Ahmad Dixon in this class, too (maybe).
