Kiel out, Briscoe in?

Just read this on ESPN Insiders:
With Kiel leaving, it may open the door for another four-star quarterback, Jeremiah Briscoe (Stratford/Houston Tex.) to choose LSU. Briscoe is still considering the Tigers. Freshman Stephen Rivers, the brother of San Diego Chargers' quarterback Phillip Rivers, is also highly regarded in Baton Rogue.
Anyone know anything about Briscoe and his level of interest in LSU?

Winston wasn't that great. I wasn't impressed with him at all in the UA game.

Why would we not want him? I know nothing of the guy but a 4 star product from Texas? Anyone that points out that Lee was also a 4 star prospect from Texas is a douche. Unless somebody can give a real reason we would not want him, I'd like to hear more about him from the TD guru's.

Enough with the dual threat QBs. We need a pocket passer that Coach Krag can develop.
I don't want any more JJ clones who can run but who can't pass or read a defense to save their lives.

It appears he's a lot of schools plan B or C. He's a 2 star on Rivals FWIW.
LSU needs more than a practice arm.

3 star on both scout and 247 and 2 star on rivals. Look at his offer list. Not that great.
I don't know whether he is a take or not, but I just don't see it happening. There are too many other prospects out there.

Do you realize that JJ wasn't even a "running QB"? That's one of the reasons he was so garbage. He was a pro-style QB trying to run the option.
