Meh. Mo Claiborne was ejected from his last hs game he played. Unless this happens again, I don't see any reason to be concerned.

Meh, football is football. First game of the year, kids are probably hype and ready to hit someone with a different color jersey. Not a big deal.

First time I have actually taken the time to watch his film. This kid is legit. Great footwork, makes some serious throws, and a natural runner. Hope he ends up being our 2017 guy at QB.

Right, you pretty much presented without comment. I don't see an issue with that.

It's Landry Walker it happens a lot- twice last year.

A fight between players at halftime halted a game Landry-Walker led 41-0 at Miller-McCoy, a Landry-Walker assistant coach said. Game officials stopped the game at that point.

"It was more or less a pushing and shoving match that went on (on the field)," Landry-Walker assistant coach Ryan Lloyd said.

Lloyd said game officials stopped the game after Miller-McCoy players left the sideline.

"Shortly after their bench cleared the game was called," Lloyd said.

Landry-Walker has suspended the defensive coordinator of its football team and seven players for Friday’s regular-season finale versus Lake Area New Tech due to their participation in a pre-game altercation versus Easton last week, according to the Louisiana High School Athletic Association.

Defensive Coordinator Dennis Christopher has been suspended from practice this week in addition to being prohibited from coaching in the state-ranked Charging Buccaneers’ non-district Homecoming game versus Lake Area by Landry-Walker Principal Mary Laurie, LHSAA Assistant Executive Director Keith Alexander said Wednesday.

Seven players identified as defensive back Jaron George, linebackers De’Vonte Bowie and Curry Benn, defensive linemen Wilner Elise and Allen Boyd and offensive linemen Timothy Washington and Corey Harden were prohibited by Laurie from playing against Lake Area in Landry-Walker's self-imposed sanctions, Alexander said.

Update: He WAS NOT ejected.

quote:

“He didn’t get ejected from the game,’’ Powell said. “I actually took him out."

Powell’s decision to pull Thompson came as a precautionary measure after a fight erupted between some players following a Landry-Walker running play of 2 yards for a touchdown with approximately five minutes remaining.

“That’s exactly the reason I got him out of there,’’ Powell said. “There was no reason to risk injury out there. There were about five minutes left in the game. So I decided, ‘Let’s get him out of there and get ready for the next game.’’
