What is the overall opinion of the RB? Is he better than his ** ranking? Was he worth offering? Is he a long term project at QB? Did he perform well at camp? Just wonder why he's our only target at our most questionable and unstable position.

He performed really well at camp and did everything Cam asked him to do, so he got an offer. And I'm sure it doesn't hurt that Demarcus Lodge is on his team and we are after him. But I def think he is a project, but is def a good athlete.

I believe we signed him because he came to camp to get an offer from us to play for Cam and balled while at the camp to get it. He is a project that might not be able to play for 2-3 yrs. Vut I would stick with him cause he came to get the offer and he earned on the field. Also, he's are only signing because of our belief in Harris' development and don't want to mess things up with Franks and Patterson.

Not trying to bust the kid's balls or be a star gazer, just leaves me scratching my head a bit. Saw him on the ESPN game and I was trying to decide if everything was a result of chunking the ball up to an incredible athlete at WR.

Sorry, you missed the Southlake Carroll game then 8 days ago. He threw two perfect 50 yard passes to Lodge who did his best CB imitation and knocked the ball to the ground. I have seen the other side also you are referring to where he throws jump balls to Lodge...done on purpose BTW. But NOT in the SLC game...Lodge cheated his own QB out of 100+ extra yards because he dropped 2 long passes thrown right on the money. BTW, several posters talk about McMillan being a project? Really? In what way? I guess they don't know that Cedar Hill if they win this next weekend is going to have 2 straight titles in one of the two highest divisions in Texas football. Yeah, it isn't like he hasn't faced top competition already in the toughest football state in the country.

Well, he doesn't have the WOW factor, but he looks like a guy who could be very useful after learning a couple of years in the system.

Decent arm and is a way better dual threat than Jennings is. He's pretty freaking elusive and would probably be a decent WR/RB with experience.

He ran an offense pretty similar to what we did against TAMU. To be honest, he is probably a redshirt freshman starter at a MAC school and would probably light it up. At LSU, it depends though.

I like him and would like to see him in the spring game at some point (he's an EE). Really though, anything can happen once he hits campus and gets onto the practice field.

He's a solid qb prospect. He's a mobile guy, but a pass first qb. He's been the starter for a top tier program for 3 years. He's underrated, but will probably take some time to develop and learn the scheme.

I only say he's a project in the way that his body has to bulk up a little bit. I think he's like In the 170s or something like that. But honestly he's a QB that we'll develop to compete in 2-3 yrs like most Fr QB

Yeah he's a pass first QB, but he reminded me of Chuckie Keeton from Utah State with his elusiveness. I think Cam is on the right direction with his QB prospects and hopefully he can open up the offense more next year to entice guys like Patterson.

Hopefully Franks stays comitted and doesn't get the baseball bug. He already runs a pro style system, is 6'5, and has a big arm. In all honesty, he reminds me a lot of Brad Kaaya. They are almost the same type of player except Franks is more athletic. He's improving every year as well.

Franks 2014 stats team record 8-3

111/191 (58.1 %) 2249 yards (11.77 ypa) 28 TDs 8 ints
28 car 425 yards (15.2 ypc) 3 TDs

He also plays in a pretty similar offense to ours. After a year in the system, he could be a breakout player.

McMillan is right around 175. Harris was 181 when he showed up last spring.

They both need to add to their frame honestly. I like McMillan and I think he's what we need to add depth and competition. Being that he will be 3rd string, I don't think he will necessarily redshirt, which will help stagger our qbs for the future.

It seems Cam is confident in the development of Harris and Jennings. He's not budging on any of these other options.

I bet McMillan is over 180...preseason, he was listed at 177. Plus, Harris is 2 inches taller than McMillan which IMO is why Harris looks slighter than McMillan despite essentially the same weight. What I have seen from McMillan that I have yet to see from Harris is poise. I would put poise, touch on passes, accuracy, work ethic, escapeability, and quick decision making above arm strength myself. If arm strength was the be all and end all, J Russell would still be playing and headed to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in several years.
