Jefferson is a tremendous QB. He can run and has a great arm.

6-4 215

Dont even try to compare them. JJ is good but isnt close to Pryors level.

I dont think anyone can make an argument stating JJ is better than Pryor.

Yes, but JJ should have plenty of time to develope before getting his shot. Pryor will probably be thrown to the wolves depending on where he goes. But he is the better player now.

JJ will RS. JJ is a pure pocket passer. Pryor will play early. JJ has all the tools. Crowton will make JJ a animal with those WR's. If JJ does not FX his wrist after the 4th game of the season last yr. in which had over a 1000 yds passing at that point. He would be a 5 star, All American, etc. To watch him play is quite a treat.
I would like to revisit this subject after RP is gone. JUST REMEMBER. Their is a reason 2-4 star QB's withdrew their commitments.

Jordan Jefferson will be a GREAT player at LSU. Bet on it. I'm excited to have him.

JJ is an awesome player, as someone stated had he not been hurt he would have been more in the national hype machine.

The fact is that while Pryor is very talented, I just don't see him being "the next Vince Young". All around the senior QB's this year were pretty weak. Much like the case with Clausen last year. I really don't think he (Clausen) is all that special.

With that said, I'm not trying to take anything away from Pryor and yes he will be very good early in his career. But I'm happy with JJ as it is.

You must not have seen him play against top talent in the AA game. Pryor absolutely looks like the real deal. Looks 10X better than Jimmy Clausen did in his senior year.

Have you seen him play? JJ moves and throws on the run very well.

I didn't compare him to Clausen. I said this years class was weak and it's no knock on Pryor.

Pryor is a future Heisman type player. I doubt JJ every will be that, but I hope he proves me wrong.

Not wolves.. puppies and kittens. Pryor will be playing in the Big 10, remember?

You can bet your house that JJ won't be a Heisman type player. Not a knock on him, but no one from LSU is a Heisman type player. Jamarcus was the number 1 pick in the draft and wasn't even an afterthought to go to New York.

Would you guys consider JJ a better passer at the moment?

I haven't seen many highlight reels for Pryor, but in the ones I saw he lobbed every ball. He never had to make a pass in a tight window or put some mustard on it. Maybe I was watching the wrong tape, but I've definitely seen QBs with better arms (JJ being one) from what I saw.

about the only thing that JJ has over TP is arm strength. a lot of scouts that compare TP to vince young is his arm is not as strong.

Do you need to be Jamarcus Russell talent to win a National Championship and to average 40 pts a game over the season? Matt Flynn

If Periloux plays a full season exactly as he played in his two games (Midd TN and UT), he will get Heisman nominated.

Yes. Pryor has good arm strength but JJ's arm is better.

Nice but quick view from Tom Lemming

I spoke to people who saw JJ play they say he was a man among boys.

He has an accurate cannon.
