It’s a matter of how you do it, thus the “balancing act”. It’s assessing short term vs long term value. You have to selective. Coach O isn’t alienating the key communities in his home state. I’m not saying you don’t make the call, I’m saying there’s got to be an exit strategy and a way to assuage hurt feelings etc.
It’s done all the time but there’s an art to it.

Dropping in state recruits will not be easy. No way to not hurt feelings & damage relationships. These are interesting times!

Oh that's a bunch of bullshite dude. These coaches and players understand what is going on and know that it wasn't something that O wanted to do, it's something he HAD to do. LSU will continue to recruit well in louisiana as long as we are LSU lol. Its just retarded to even think that. orgeron has great relationships with the Louisiana high school coaches and that's not going to change. Hes doing what has to be done to he as successful as LSU can be...that's what a great coach does. They make the tough decisions, even when it may hurt sometimes, it's for the best of the program. It's not the first time something like this has happened and damn sure won't be the last. I find it funny that some of you think that this only occurs at LSU and O is the only coach doing it. Every big-time program does it and that's just the nature of the beast. It's survival of the fittest and LSU just so happens to have some extremely fit motherfrickers that want in this class apparently lol. This sucks for Jalen Lee, and I don't wish that it happened the way it did, but it's absolutely great news for LSUs class bc I promise we don't let a player like him slide without having a replacement in line that is going to make this move worth it come signing day and beyond. Let's keep this motherfricker rolling! Geaux Tigers!

Hope this isn't another Surtain move, so don't want to get burned.
