By your userid, guessing you live up here as well. And you are right. The month leading up to the OU-LSU BCSNCG was rough. Won't go into details about what I endured but bet you can imagine.
They have no right to call our fan base bad. I mean, seriously. They are much, much more hateful and obnoxious to opposing fans.
And lastly, to the post by that OU Insider- he says LSU has all those players in the NFL, "but what did they win?" Oh yeah, we have won two national championships and lost one in the last 12 years. They have lost what, 5 national championships and won ZERO? He can save the insults and bashing for another team, because OU is a team that video games their way through a weak conference while they completely get massacred when they face true top competition.
If Phillips wants to be developed into a true monster, actually enjoy college, mingle with the south's finest hotties and become a high draft pick, he will choose LSU.

And I still will hear from time to time "Oh you're an LSU fan? Let me tell you about my grandparents going to the 2003 National Championship game..." proceeded by some awful story.

Not to play devil's advocate, but if we get to count the '03 championship they get to count the one in '00 over FSU.
So they are 1-3 in championship games and we are 2-1, in regards to recent history.
Yes, we have more players in the NFL, but they seem to be much more likely to play in more meaningful post seasons games in the past few seasons (keep in mind these recruits were barely out of diapers during the '03 game). And yes I know their conference is crap, you don't have to sell me.

If they would have won, they'd talk about how wonderful LSU fans were. The stories you'd here would be true stories about how cool LSU fans are instead of them damn lies they tell today.

I don't think it is after having all those OU coaches visited.
Our big chance to sell him is this weekend. We'll have a better feel after his visit.

My LSU flag was removed from my flagpole and burned in the street in front of my house.
I was having my pickup tires changed up in Norman and they didn't bother to tell me they were finished until two hours afterwards, when I had finally been sitting in the waiting room for three hours and asked. The guy gave me my keys and said "good luck LSU" with a smile. At which point I went out to get my truck and noticed that they had parked it on the opposite side of the strip mall parking lot next to the tire shop.
"BOOMER SOONER" was spray painted in red on my beige garage door.
The LSU window decals on my truck were covered with "X's" in white shoe polish while OU was polished onto the door windows.
And I had to thoroughly powerwash out my pickup bed after the excessive smell of urine became apparent. I'll just use my imagination as to why it smelled that way, and thank God for locking gas caps because the gas cap door was open.
Those are just a few things I remember. I still think some of them are hilarious, others not so much. But after the game, it got really peaceful.
