More momentum on Phillips flip ...
LSU sources remain confident, but the 4-star LB is still thinking it over.
He expressed a lot of confidence in LSU at multiple times over the course of the weekend. Now, it's a matter of communicating with the Oklahoma staff and making sure he is firm with his decision.
This is NOT a done deal. But there is a lot of momentum in the Tigers' favor after a positive

According to the OU fans on landthieves.com, the whole OU coaching staff will be visiting with Phillips next friday.

Gay called his visit "WONDERFUL."
Gay is good friends w\ both Queen and Phillips, and those are 3 I expect to be in LSU's class by Feb. 1.
The three formed an instant bond and I think that carries more weight than people think. This is Gay's final OV. Next up is a NSD announcement

I think he'll announce before NSD because he was previously committed to Ole Miss. I'm thinking around the same time as Phillips hopefully tomorrow. Also, we don't have many spots left, so if he is smart and really wants to seal his spot with LSU he needs to commit pretty quickly. As we still have two tackles, a couple of rush defensive ends, including Phillips and Gay, Tyler Taylor and Brooks as Linebackers, Todd Harris, Amik Roberson as Safeties, Devonta Smith, Nico Collins, and Marlon Williams as Wide Receivers, running back Travis Etienne, and that TE from Indiana Canada offered. His name slips my mind right now. Anyway, no way we are going to be able to take all of them. So if I was gay, I'd cement my spot ASAP.
