Sounds like he's still solid to Oklahoma but is open to hearing more from LSU. Do work O.

Maybe Willie and Jacoby can sway him

I'm really hoping that this isn't the ultimate troll job by Gay. How often do recruits really just flat out say something of that magnitude in all seriousness...

Phillips is committed to the Sooners, but is keen on the Tigers. The No. 7-rated inside backer is 60-40 between Oklahoma and LSU, according to a source close to Phillips.
If it's 60/40, we can definitely blow him away and make it 50/50 after his official. Especially is if Marvin Wilson starts recruiting for us on his visit. We already have Willie Gay and Jacoby Stephenson in his ear.

I don't like flips in commits but if a recruit can see our lack of depth (or if it was another teams) at LB I would not dout his choice to get early playing time at that school. How Bama gets 5 or 6 LBs to commit every year is just insane.

Gay has liked a lot of LSU related stuff on twitter, many related to our bowl win. One was Guice's nasty hit on the Louisville kicker

Winning
Until they start getting beat, kids will flock there.

Those kids just want a championship. No other reason

Lets Geaux O and Aranda get on the phone and set up that visit!

Yes, I hope so too. But Gay seemed to be genuinely intrigued when he found out that Monty Rice had flipped back to Georgia. Something tells me this isn't a troll job. With LSU having only one committed LB at this point, it would make a lot of sense for Gay to be sincerely interested in coming.

Do not underestimate O finishing strong. LSU has had several late commitments- Key, Bower, Wethersby.

I know bowl games don't mean much...but since he is committed to OU - as wrong as it feels...should we be rooting for the Aubies in the Sugar?
Posted on 1/2/17 at 9:21 pm to SouthBayTiger
Just root for a shootout with OU giving up a bunch of rushing yards.
