I think Fehoko and Lawrence both declare after this year (Alexander may as well with a big year).

Sopsher is a must get and would probably start the first game at DE if the two Juniors declare. If he goes to Bama, any and all reason for O to be HC goes with him.

He's going to Bama. Just accept it now and move on.

He isn't a day 1 starter, big guys on the inside are almost never starters that early, especially on the highest level.

Just too big a physical leap to handle in 1 year.

He won’t start here or at Bama in year 1. People that actually think we can get a kid from Amite are kidding themselves. Too much Bama politics from Sam petitto, the barbershop, and former players from Amite who pull for the tide.

Really don't see how anyone can dispute this.

If O can't get this guy, what is his worth to us as a recruiter? That's the one thing everyone thought he'd kill it and the early reports are underwhelming.

This guy disagrees.

"With that said, he isn’t honing in on one school at the moment. LSU has its edges in several different departments, but Sopsher is just beginning take visits elsewhere. When the time comes to make a decision in February, I still feel confident he winds up sticking with the Tigers."

Will 5-star DT Ishmael Sopsher wind up at LSU or Alabama?

I'm not getting my hopes up. Not only just with Sopsher but with any player that their final two are us and Alabama.

I'm guessing if we don't land him it's not really a big deal because he was never committed, right?

I guessed who wrote the article before I opened it. Speigs is probably the most optimistic LSU writer out there. I certainly hope he's right, but he tends to think we will land everybody we want.

He's going to Bama and we lose out on another stud from Louisiana.

Ask me your hypothetical question in months. But, even then I tend not to stress over one recruit.

You still crying about Gerald Willis, Speedy Noil and Hootie Jones not selecting LSU?

It's still a long process and if players like Fehoko, Lawrence and Alexander have monster seasons Sopsher could very well decide to play for the good guys. You are the anti-Speigs and think we lose everybody we want so I don't lend too much credence to your opinion either.

Simply a ridiculous post. One fickle young man dooms a coach and program? If O goes, it eon’t Be because of this.

I too have come to this conclusion and am already over the disappointment. If he does in fact choose Bama, it will have no impact on me. If he happens to choose us, it'll be a pleasant surprise and a joyous occasion.

Either way:

TR - you can give some people all the positive news that you want but it won't matter they hate O so much that they would literally rather have LSU fail so that O is fired than have LSU succeed and have O retained as our Head Coach. They aren't true LSU fans no matter how much they say they are. Don't waste your time you will never change their minds because they are too small minded.
