Is the LSU staff open to Derrick Dillon on offense?

I actually like him on defense and understand that assessment, but if we pull another stud corner like Jackson, Hill, or Marshall (not sure if we have any real chance on Marshall), it seems like there would be no harm in making Dillon a slot type guy. Jackson and Dillon could get looks both ways and I think should if that's the case.

From what i understand, the only way he would listen to them is if they were open to letting him play WR. And since things seem to be heating up between he and LSU i'd venture to say yes.

from what I understand, that was the recent change.

Hope he becomes a Tiger - would be great addition to class.

That seems to be the case. It makes sense considering all of the dbs we are still trying to nab.

It also makes since considering the fight we are having for receivers this class.

The offense killed our chances with Lodge and damaged them with Charlot and Johnson. (though i think we get both in the end)

They told him he could be used on offense in the same fashion we used Dural last week, jet sweeps

I think we can get Johnson and Charlot as well. They will come down to the wire, but I think they believe in representing the state and really look up to some of the recent guys that have signed with LSU and started their NFL careers. I actually think Johnson is our best shot out of all 3 of those you mentioned.

The offensive production worries some kids, but at the end of the day, they have to believe that they can make a difference regardless of the previous situation.

Beckham and Landry are our saviours. Those two lighting the league up as rookies will help us overcome the offensive woes this past year.

247 shows a 4.45 40. For those that have seen Dillon play, is that about right? Does he have that initial burst in the first 10 yards that gives him the 4.45 speed or does he have more downhill speed (on the last 10 yards)?

Initial burst. When he was a bit younger, he would almost fall down after the 1st ten yards because of it. He's got wheels for sure and is really a smooth athlete.

Initial burst.

Makes me want him more. That's so important on the football field especially as a WR getting off the line of scrimmage corner jam.

The dude can flat out fly and he's kind of a glider like Dural. Makes it look easy to just toast everybody. Hard to tell if he or Jackson is faster. They would stack up against anyone in the country in agility and top end speed.

He's too good of a prospect not to offer IMO. Cam can find a way to use him on offense.

His 10 yard split is better than Jeremy Hill's, I bet. Hill had one of the best from the RB position. That's what I think of when I think initial burst. He's very explosive.

I think he'd be used at wildcat QB RB and WR. Put the kid all over the field.

I can definitely see him being used in a Russell Shepard type role.
