I guess I don't understand how the Clearinghouse keeps screwing us over. If he doesn't enroll early, why do we think he will not sign on NSD? I am not trying to be dense, but am I legitimately missing something?

Eddie Lacy fails to graduate from a Louisiana high school and makes up two years worth of classes in two months. He's good to go.
Rettig is a white kid from a ritzy private school in LA and they don't clear him. System is fricked.

I agree the system is fricked, But I expect Rettig will be cleared soon, too early to hit the panic button.

He doesn't have to early enroll. He can come in the fall if he doesn't get through clearinghouse stuff for the spring.

So he can get into UCLA but not LSU. I would think academically it'd be the other way around. It doesn't take a genius to pass the NCAA stuff. It's 4x's tougher to get in UCLA.

This is way too fishy to just be a clearinghouse issue. I think he's getting cold feet and some serious cash thrown his way from ucla

You're right. But I have to ask, how confident would you be in him ever showing up to LSU if he doesn't enroll this semester?

I'd be pretty confident. The kid has been all LSU for so long I don't think delaying enrollment a couple months is going to send him elsewhere

You can look at this anyway you like but the fact that this kid is not here yet, not good. Sorry but so gun shy after what happened to us last year with Kiel. I always thought that I will believe it when he is enrolled here and that has not happened as of yet.
Hope he comes and proves me wrong but I have a bad feeling about this one.
