This Nola article states that Derrick Raymond and Jerquinick Sandolph will not make the trip to Orlando for the bowl game, along with the already confirmed Micah Eugene. The article also states this could be the end of all three players' careers at LSU.

Seems like alot of attrition at DB for this year. Could it mean were bringing in a monster DB class, maybe bigger than we originally thought?

Heres the article

Damn I would hate to lose a guy named Jerqwinick

Raymond was a project. It sucks we don't have room/time to let him develop. He has all the physical tools

I was pumped about Raymond when he committed. He was exactly the type of guy Cooper would've turned into a monster.

He had like 46 D-1 offers based off of 30 minutes of spring practice film didnt even play football til his senior year I'm pretty sure.

Sadly, you're right. That class probably set us back a year as far as competing on a championship level goes

But it looks like the 2013 and 2014 classes will get us back where we need to be.

I remember seeing Sandolph in on spot duty during some games and thinking he looked alright out there. Though with the class coming in, I can't blame him.

Been saying there is to many skill players in this class (of course that's asinine). We just need more OL/DL.

All the skill players in the world don't matter if you can't win the trenches. We got a lot last year, but I don't know how many are ELITE or up to our spoiled standards.

Idk about a top recruit, more like a big 12 or lower level SEC type guy.

Probably more on-par with the DBs from LA going to Arkansas for this year.

I hope these guys don't feel like they were scorned. LSU gave them a chance and they simply did not succeed.

Well its been said Eugene has broken team rules, he was a guy who saw the field a good bit.

Sandolph has not been able to perform in the classroom.

And with Raymond, I guess the staff just feels like he has already been passed up at corner by guys younger than him and they will be bringing in some very talented guys in this class as well.
