Are you going to tell us who the recruit is or do we have to guess?

I guess they're going to strike while the iron is hot because I fully believe their model will be regulated into obscurity in the very near future.

Additionally, as I said in the Moses thread, there are situations where this should be advocated - and going from Northside to IMG may be one of those situations - but in general I'm not a fan of the thought process that results in a guy leaving his high school class high and dry going into their senior year.

Whether it lay at the feet of the recruit, the school, or both, their actions in the 3+ years leading up to that point got the recruit in position to be one of the best players in the country. If it was good enough to get you in that position, surely it is good enough for one last year to get you to college, no?

I don't disagree. Going from Northside to Acadiana or STM would be preferable (for LSU), but that's not an option. IMG is an option.

I'm not approaching this from the standpoint of what is good for LSU, but I agree.

I just cannot imagine being a stud recruit and leaving your school heading into your senior year to go play in for an all-star team that has no chance of winning any sort of district or state title.

Some people will point to the facilities, training, etc., but we've seen players transfer there and fall precipitously in the rankings after their arrival. Some players have gotten fat and lazy - that tends to happen when you're under no pressure to actually get any semblance of an education and you're going to play 8-9 incredibly overmatched teams during the year.

I'm all for it when it gets a kid out of a bad situation, but some of these transfers are head scratchers.

I will say that Northside to IMG is much more understandable than U-High to IMG...

I actually understand what the 'baller is saying here: "Real, LSU fans should have already known this information."
