I mentioned this kid about a week ago, but with Pendergast we may could maybe get a look from Porter Gustin. His paycheck is waiting for him as a super athletic LB.

Curious, how would this change his recruitment? Pendergast recruit him last season?

My "hope" would simply be west coast connection. Gustin is committed to USC (which Pendergast has connections to) and is from Utah.

Pendergast always used LB's like him in his 3-4. With the NFL past, Gustin maybe can be sold on LSU + NFL Factory + Pendergast as a winning combination.

Like I said, just curious. My question about Pendergasts recruiting abilities was lost in the shuffle on the CC board, hoping to get some kind of info on the topic soon. Although, I am about ready to move on to the next target if we don't hear any more news on that front soon.

Jackson may end this cycle rated higher than any DB in this thread after the week he is having

He is killing it on both sides of the ball. He just might jump Godwin for top athlete. He is already #2 at his position on 247, and they are talking him up a lot.

A guy like Marshall is a key piece if you wanna compete for NC year after year! NO Fu.king Fly Zone! I love T.White but with this guy in Death valley his job is likely in jeopardy this guy is like the Grim Reaper of dB's he kills wr's!

White will start, but I think Marshall, Toliver, and Jackson would contribute as freshmen even with Collins coming back and all of the other cbs like Paris and Thomas.

According to a source, LSU was concerned that Marshall was eying a trip to Baton Rouge as a possible vacation of sorts and that he was bound for USC

Who goes to BR for a vacation?

I'm a native, I can say that.

It's a complement to Biggie Marshall's perception of LSU as a powerhouse in college football. He wants to check it out.

I've got a really good feeling about him going to SC though. Gustin too, although ASU is still technically in it for him.
