because he only verbally committed. he didn't sign anything yet. why not. might as well go out and see what you may actually "want".

no way. Les Miles just stole Ron Cooper from USCe and he is one hell of a secondary coach.

Who is this Ron Cooper? I thought once a player committed to LSU Miles didn't like them making other visits. So is he still taking that trip?

I think he hinted on Friday that he may not take the visit. Not 100% sure on that though.

Safeties coach gets 3-year deal with Tigers

South Carolina coach Steve Spurrier is in the market for another assistant coach.

Safeties coach Ron Cooper has accepted a job at LSU as the Tigers’ secondary coach, Cooper told The State on Monday.

The 46-year-old Cooper, who was the only remaining assistant from the Lou Holtz era, interviewed at LSU over the weekend.
