Between the Evans tweets earlier and now Reliford is saying on twitter he’s not a DT

Was Reliford responding to a somebody else or is Elko saying he is a DT?

Reliford Tweet

His own random post

Earlier he retweeted that erob has the best defense in the SEC. He seems committed to him

Woooo boy, this is about to get fun. Between these Elko rumors and the Elko comment that kind of implied ERob has other opportunities….

I’d be willing to go co defensive coordinators for a year if that brings erob in

Changing coaches has become so unnecessarily contentious with interim coaches. We saw the same crap with Cadillac at Auburn last year. Such a tough thing to navigate with how reactionary players have become.

Cadillac was smart enough to know he was not ready to be a head coach and he knew his role for the meantime.

Jimbo is enjoying his ranch and rolling around in a pile of 19 million dollars waiting for that next Aggie check to come in next month

I’m sure Elko realizes some players will leave and some will stay. Theres no way the entire recruiting class stays together and no one transfers especially now in college football.

If I had to bet, Elko is not showering recruits with all the money and benefits that Jimbo did to buy them off. There’s too much entitlement in their locker room and I’m sure he’s smart enough to see that.

That was 15 damn years ago. People have successful co coordinators all the time.

ERob was a Co-DC this year.

These are rarely pairings of equals, in reality. One is usually the actual coordinator who calls the offense or defense and the other, younger, up and coming guy gets the “Co” title for a bump in pay and some higher status for the resume. It’s similar to naming someone your “Assistant or Associate Head Coach.”

It’s pretty rare to find actual Co-coordinator relationships where both really do lead and contribute equally. There are even fewer of these pairings that work. Ensminger and Brady made it happen for one year in 2019, but it’s rare that they work out well.
