Coach O and the staff don't play games

They expect to finish #1 in recruiting and in winning games

Mehopes that D-line and LB corps can hold up this year. '16, '17, '18 defenses off the charts. Single-digit PPG against forthcoming.

The 3 biggest question marks this year and thoughts:
1- QB obviously; I think Harris has a good, not great, year this year and is all SEC type next

2- DL and LB depth; hopefully no injuries

3- Kevin Steele calling the defense; truly an unknown at this point

Our SEC opponents are getting really testy too.

I agree, but the sooner we get a long line in QBs and LBs the sooner we will be that type of good.

Recruiting wise,

the Purdue QB - whatever your opinion - adds quality depth. He was an Elite 11 guy and that means something because not everyone is. He has talent and he will be here to grow as well over the next few years. The more depth there the better. Having a QB start as a JR or SR is much better than having a FR start - simple.

LB (especially Mike) - got to know we are telling high profile guys that our Mike spot is pretty wide open and we need guys. Add in early playing time and being the middle anchor of the D. This has got to make some of the top talent very interesting in coming to LSU. I can't wait to see what ILBs we bring in.

I think we are going to pull back ahead of the pack in the next couple years.

Purely from a depth perspective, it will be tough if Bain and Valentine do not play.

Look at our recruiting class the two years prior to the two 8 win seasons.. Then look at last two and possibly a #1 finish for 2016. We are definitely heading back up
