How quickly can we wrap up this recruiting class, and who's left?

I say we take about 25 or so this year that we sign. Maybe one more qb. Who else is left out there that we can sign? And at what positions? Also, i am wondering how quickly we can have this year's recruiting class sowed up?

No way...only losing 11 scholarship players (due to non-attrition) after this season. I doubt we sign much over 20 if at all.

One more DT, Robinson from Thib., and probably another QB.

In order of importance (at least to me):

OT Greg Robinson
DT Mickey Johnson
QB Phillip Ely
ILB Travis Hughes
DE Jermauria Rasco
WR Odell Beckham, Jr.
S T.K. Fleming
CB Floyd Raven

{NOW it's right!]

No OBJ? TK Fleming absolutely has fricked up his chances IMO.. no way we take a guy who is constantly in trouble. I'd like to land 5/7 of the below and I'd love this class..

In order of importance (IMO):
Ely
Robinson
OBJ
Rasco
Floyd Raven
Mickey Johnson/Chucky Hunter

Yeah; you're right about Fleming -- no way around it. It must be later than I thought: can't believe I left off Jermauria and Odell!

I guess we'll see, but don't count us out. Mama is on our side, and mama usually gets what she wants.

This is actually the best news I've heard re Robinson in a long time; maybe ever. I'd assumed his family was casual or even indifferent to his choice of schools, as long as he followed the modern mantra "what's in HIS best interest (for early playing time, TV exposure, future dollars, etc)." I feel MUCH better now knowing that mama wants him close to home at LSU, rather than two states away . . . stuck in suburban Opelika.

Goddamn, I hate those frickers.

Remember Cassius Marsh last year? He LOVED us, wrote "LSU" on his eye-black patches at the Army AA game, screaming "LSU Tigers, Baby" on the sidelines when the camera was on him, inter alia? Well, he's sho-nuff out in Westwood, wearing that phaggoty baby-blue and sparkly-gold, 'cause MAMA made a call to Rick Neuheisel for the purpose of keeping him home. Just one example among many of how it's worked against us for many years; maybe this year we get it working in our favor for a change!

'Bout damn time!

Ely IS NOT COMING HERE. Don't know why people keep listing him.

I say we find enough spots for everyone who is rated high on our board. that means everyone in LA. (except fleming) with an offer plus raven, plus another qb, plus lb, plus 2 guys we can't refuse if we get them (lyons quality). thats ten more plus current 17 equals 27. we cut the punter and cut/greyshirt 2 others if we get everyone.
