People forget how awful the PMAC was during Brady's final four runs.

honestly its an ugly arena and its past time we get a new one. But its a chicken or the egg....do we need a winning program first or do we get a winning program after?

Wade appears to have some stroke similar to Saban(relatively). I think he's gonna get the right people to buy into his vision for the program and he's gonna wins up getting a lot of what he wants. Within reason, of course. Wade making moves.

PMAC needs some attention, but recruits don't care about a it. Vast majority of their time is spend in the new practice facility which is extremely nice.

PMAC will get its upgrade at some point.

If Wade lives up to to coaching the way he's recruited, he should be demanding a refurbishment or new arena in a matter of years to help the program.

A refurbishment is what is needed. There is no reason to tear down the structure.

To respond to the OP's original question, roof condition of the arena is probably #476 on the list of important factors on a 17 year old basketball player's mind in a recruitment. These kids dgaf about that nonsense.

And the renovated seating is for midgets. I sat through an entire graduation with my nuts in my stomach.

Geez, you people have a short memory around here (accept when a player or coach screwed up in some way in that one game several years ago... ). LSU has already said that there are future plans to remodel the PMAC ( "Architects planning major renovations to 'modernize' LSU's PMAC" ) and there are already architects working on the plans. The new scoreboard is step 1; with plans to eliminate the ramps, add an enhanced lobby, remodel concourses, and add premium seating on the way.

As for widening seats, speaking as a big boy myself, I would love to see it happen. However, it is likely not realistic since they just replaced all the seats in like the last 10 years or so. And since they will already be lowering the overall number of seats to add in premium options, I doubt we would see bigger general seats, which would only further lower the total number.

The incredible gymnastics team and 14,297 roaring fans don't seem to find a problem with the Assembly Center on Friday Night Flight.

We need to move the student section or the fricking media section. It kills the atmosphere IMO
