How in the world do you KNOW this?? Our class is currently ranked 21st. There is absolutely no guarantee that all the people you're counting on will sign at LSU. The list keeps shrinking.

We are in a great position with a Safety that is rated higher on every site than Hootie Jones.

I agree with what you are saying. But if you read through this thread and it may not be you personally. Everyone has been saying that class rank doesn't matter. when in fact it has some implication on the level of recruiting.

We know that he who wins at recruiting has a better chance to win natty championships.

but for them to say who cares when I ask about number 1 then say we finish top 3. what difference does it makes?

I'm lost on the comedy of the situation.

I'm not trolling. Are y'all really just gonna assume that we sign 4-5 5* players? What are the reasons besides them being from Louisiana? I'm anxious to hear.

Wow.... How high was honeybadger ranked? Claiborne I believe was about a borderline 4*. I take more believe in talent assessment than star ratings. We will be fine. Not a fan of Miles as a coach by any means, but they can assess good talent. Hootie was a hit along with Crob, but we will land the big fish we need.

Why attack at all. Just correct me and all is good.

I probably should have said that differently but I didn't think it would cause assholes to come out the wood work.

I meant to say that from the expectation this summer and claims to have the best class ever Hootie and CRob were both big pieces to that dream.

Now they are committed to our rivals how can we get that type of talent to still pull off this world greatest class status.

I obviously don't think they'll get all; but there are other schools in play besides just Bama.

If you go just based on rivals, I think LSU signs 4 5-stars in Fournette, Adoree, Dupre, and Tony Brown. D'Haquille would make 5 if he switched. Obviously Adoree would be the one to worry about the most.

I see Bama signing 4 in C-Rob, Hand, Humphrey and Scarbrough. I expect Bo to hold.

Then LSU could get 11 of the rivals top 100 players not counting Quille, #'s 3, 6, 15, 18, 34, 35, 49, 53, 61, 76, and 91. Bama currently has 10, and I expect Humphrey for sure. Who knows who they close with for sure otherwise or who they push out of their class in the end.

Quille could go a long way in being the difference in the classes. Jumping in on a Malik McDowell type late in the process also would be killer. It should be close IMO.

Adoree Jackson isn't from Louisiana, but we're still in that one - but just barely (I think) - the only reason it isn't over is the uncertainty at the coaching situation at USC.

Florida will also have some coaching questions, and we have far fewer - that said, I'm not holding my breath, but he could be a 5-star that breaks to us.

Dupre's second home is LSU - I'm comfortable with him being a lock.

Fournette - ditto.

Frank Wilson is a great recruiter - one of the best - he doesn't necessarily guarantee we get the South Louisiana talent, he would know if we weren't getting these two - and, therefore, we would know.

Tony Brown (from Texas) - his sister is a freshman at LSU - there is a long, long relationship between his family and the school. I'm not saying it is a lock, but I'm comfortable with saying he's LSU until I hear otherwise.

That's 4 Rivals 5-stars right there - 2 of which are "locks" (as much as that word can be used) and 1 (Brown) is a near lock. Jackson would be a late get, and Quille could make it 5 right there, if everything lines up perfectly.

Also, Noil and Willis have a small shot at a 5th star on Rivals, but those guys are as good as many of the players rated above them - Willis is a desperate position of need for us, and Noil is slightly underrated (IMHO) because of size.

I don't see us with the #1 class without Bama losing at least 1 5-star, though.

But your question was where are our 4 to 5 5-star players were coming from and I believe I have answered that.

Let me suggest that you ditch rivals and use 247s composite rankings, which ranks all services.

That was a joke.

The coaching staff, the people that are paid to follow recruits, and the recruits actions and words all lead us to believe they will be at LSU.

You guys are bitching like a bunch of women. Look at all the talent that's left Georgia and Florida every year. We're getting the best two Texas db's. We will be fine. I wanted the 9 5 stars only to see DlineU suck a dick.
