Randle, Mingo, Loston, McFarland, Campbell, etc...

Anything to salve the sting of this beatdown.

Might lose a few commits. Kids committ to LSU to play for championships this decade.

Go play in traffic dumbass. You think kids will decommit/go somewhere else because we lose to UGA and FLA in a rebuilding year?!

This year is shapping up to mirror 2005... I feel a 5 game winning streak coming on, then who knows. We'll finish strong, have our best recruiting class ever, have a strong year next year, then a championship in 2010. Mark it down on your caledar!!!

UF was 9 and fricking 4 last year and lost to goddamn michigan who is fricking horrible and looks at them now, you cannot produce 12 win years every fricking year ESPECIALLY when the only QB that has taken a meaningful snap on your roster and your only real shot at having consistency and balance on offense is booted off the team. some of you fricking bandwagoners are ridiculous, fricking ridciulous

ETA: apex this wasnt directed at you, more a post for the lost ranta*ds that wander over here

As much as I hate to say it, this year is not going to help us in the "Les is winning with Saban's players" argument

Even though it's complete bullshite, you know how it goes....

when you lose the only shred of experience and developed talent you hve at QB you are not going to be a great football team, we are good in fact we are pretty damn good but we arent great. maybe not even next year will be our big year again but i can guarantee the QB situation will be totally handled by 2010

I know, and I agree. However, this will not serve to ward off the gumps.

When defensive recruits (and offensive guys for that matter) watch our D play then watch Saban's D play, it really worries me.

Its very obvious who has the better coach, and its not even remotely close.

Reason enough to hire a DC right now.

Even if he just serves as a figurehead this year.

There's no way we are going to hire a new DC with only 5 games left this year.

Look- I am as worried about recruits as the next guy. But the reality is, most of the big time prospects are going to take all their visits and will not decide until later this year or early into next year.

By then some of the bad taste of the UGA and UF losses will have worn off, especially if we can finish the season strong.

But yes- Miles it appears will HAVE to make a change at DC after the season. If he doesn't- then we're in serious, serious trouble.

I see Miles team gave up 475 yards to Florida, with a heisman winner playing. Saban's "D" gave up 632 yards against Florida in 2001. Scary..

Miles had the best 3 years of coaching in LSU history. I expect it to continue the rest fo this year & next year were playing for the NC.

Saban does not run the same D he ran in 2001. Go look at bama 'sD right now. How many times has a team run for 100 yards on them this year? In only his SECOND YEAR with bama.

If you think Miles and his Co DCs are even close to Saban's D, let me know and will not bother responding to you anymore.

I cant help you.

Co Defensive coordinators is not the answer. The real issue for me is leadership on the field. Name the offensive leader, name the defensive leader. Last yeare we had Glen D. and Matt and Jacob. Who is filling these roles? We need leadership on all fronts.

Shep will come in a definitely fill that role on offense. Randle could also come in and be a leader as well.

Maybe McFarland, Davenport, or Loston will eventually step up and be leaders on D

Although I still think we should hire a big-shot aggressive DC who knows how to utilize talent to disguise blitz packages and manage defensive schemes better. Our Co-DCs are suited best to be position coaches and that's it.

Really? Saban found a miracle cure for his pathetic Defense in 2002? He lost 5 games that year & got a gift at Kentucky & got the Piss slapped outta him in the Cartoon Bowl.

I don't know, I'm not a Bama fan.

What happened last year in Tuscaloosa? Refresh everyone's memory.

With bad, there can sometimes come good. Sometimes the kids will want to commit bc they might think that they could help out and come in and play early.
