Maybe a silent commit? Not out of the question Smith having been a silent to Bama for months and then letting LSU know he is flipping and will publicly announce on signing day. Hopefully that's the case!

Y'all are crazy if you don't think smith was silently committed to Bama.
He wasn't public but everyone doesn't talk in such definite terms. In Smiths mine he was going to Bama since July. And now he is changing his mind. To me that's flipping. Regardless if it follows recruiting board vernacular to the letter .

Read on here that Jimmy deleted the tweet about canceling the Miami visit. He had a basketball game and postponed the visit until today I think. He was supposed to go yesterday. At least that is what was reported on here earlier.

Okay now we have a jedi or master yoda, stating who is or was a silent commit. If you know anything you can't play around with silent commits at Bama they are recruiting all 4, 5* receivers. Okay but not that big of deal unless we land him or if he goes to the U.

I don't know how well-off the Smiths may or may not be, but if DS comes to LSU, obviously the Bama money wasn't needed.
Joking aside :cough, cough:, we really could use DS. I don't understand the Mom factor in recruiting stories. Smith's mother outspokenly wants him at LSU, but he has allegedly been a Bama lock for quite some time. Yet our other targets whose mothers want them to stay close to home (Gay to Starkville, Chaisson to Austin) are allegedly going to turn LSU down to go to those schools?
What am I missing?

That momma is a bigger factor for some than others. Momma and brother are a big reason we're leading for Marvin Wilson right now and will likely sign him. Plenty of examples over the years of LSU getting a kid because of mom, that was basically Miles' biggest strength in recruiting.
