Yeah, I'm all for fun..
This wasn't even his idea.. and it's quite tacky.
I think at that age I would trust my coach and go along with whatever he told me was best for the team or myself. Not sure I would want to defy his ideas.
To the guy saying no one had to show up.. they made this an event on purpose.. to play the media (which the coach has no concern for) these people showed up to cover his announcement for him were doing the right thing.. giving him the attention. This coach played the system.
If this was really about the team.. They could have done the respectable thing and issued a public statement, as well as inform the team of the wonderful dedication to his team.. I think this just sends the exact opposite of message by making it such a stunt.. and it seems selfish. Again, not directed at Harris. If anything it goes to show he is willing to listen to his coaches. Harris is probably a really great young man, and I would love to see him at LSU!

From Robin Fambrough and The Advocate...
Harris "I didn't have a problem with it, I wanted to put the team in the spotlight; that's how I saw it. My focus is on Plaquemine High and this season."
So all this "selfish" talk bs yall are saying is ridiculous.
Coach did it to motivate his team. Todd wanted his team to have the spotlight. All yall Moscona puppy dogs need to give them a break

Man, he is about to be a senior in HS. Don't get all upset, its what HS kids do.
Actually no it isn't. I was a lot more respectful and mature when I was a freaking freshman in high school. I just find it to be very disrespectful that you have all these people drive out there for your little show. Grow up. The guy is 17 not 7.

Ok both he and his coach are selfish and deceitful. If they would have told the media their plan they would have not gone. So they lied to them to get what they wanted.

BS when I was his age I would not do something like this simple because my coach said so. I knew the difference between right and wrong. My parents would have also not allowed it.

Their were 0 media present. All they had at Plaquemine were parents and players. 0 members of the media were at Plaquemine high.
