"Well, two weeks in a row that he's been at Maryland," Wiltfong said on 247Sports' College Football Recruiting Show this week. "Went to a basketball game there two weeks ago. That was the family's first-ever basketball game on the Terrapins' campus. They loved the energy and the environment there, got a chance to spend time around (Mike) Locksley and the staff. Then they come back this weekend for some more face time with Mike Locksley and company, but also got a lot of face time with the school president, the school athletic director.

"Nyckoles Harbor has aspirations of playing in the NFL, he has aspirations of running in the next Olympics and he has aspirations of being a surgeon. So, what do you do? You bring in one of the best orthopedic surgeons in the company to hang out with Nyckoles Harbor as well. So Maryland laid out red carpet for him."

Just seem weird that On3 has him in both prediction pieces and he hasn't visited LSU yet....

I just don't see him straying that far from home.

Hopefully I'm wrong and he comes to lsu.

I’ve always wondered why LSU doesn’t promote Dr Andrew’s as an alum more often. I know he works for both Auburn and Bama but he’s an LSU Tiger. I believe he was an all SEC track athlete

If he wants to go to USCe then that’s his own moronic choice. Have fun competing for 4th spot in the East

Him visiting Maryland and living in DC should be viewed as a drive from one side of BR to the other. It's in his backyard. I think something that the sites are downplaying is how good of a student he is, and the emphasis he's placing on education. UMich is probably in the lead for that reason. All schools, held constant can pitch football to him. Obviously we have the better Track Program...everything else is marginal in comparison in football across the programs. For the "but Maryland's football is trash" people...well Ra Jarrett went, and he's going to be a 2nd-3rd rounder, so they can produce an offense that allows him to be featured enough to make it to the next level. USC is not far, and is probably pulling on the family being close, and SEC strings. You can't get "straight to" Baton Rouge from DC...which is another strike in the case against us. My guess is, we're in 3rd on this one, unless something great happens over this next month.

Rakim Jarrett will not be a first rounder, he won’t even be all big ten this year and got injured…..

Aspirations of playing in the NFL and Maryland in the same sentence? Lol. Not sure if you recall Rakim Jarrett…but in all seriousness, it’s incredible how LSU presents both elite track and NFL development, I don’t think LSU is out of it for Harbor. There’s something Shea and others seem to know, since they keep mocking him in the final projection. There are premature articles and this is one of them.

Just mentioned him Crown. Can only imagine Caleb and a properly developed Rakim Jarrett, sheesh. Nonetheless, that should be a cautionary tale for Harbor.

Late signing is a plus for LSU.

Is he still tripping here?

First round? This is one of the better seasons of receivers and Jarrett isn’t even known to most. Johnston, Smith-Njigba, Addison, Hyatt, Boutte (prior to decision to return), Downs, etc. Those are your first receivers off the board and there are more ahead of Jarrett.

After the throat slash to LSU I saw during whatever game that was, I’ve rooted against that kid. I understand it’s petty, but it’s the life I chose.

Dr Andrews had a facility down in Florida, to rehab folks after surgery. Former Tiger Brett Bech worked there for a time, helping with the rehab. Brett moved on from there, work as an assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Dallas Cowboys.

very petty... the kid decommitted and decided to stay home to play for Maryland. Its literally the same shite we praise Louisiana kids for doing. It is what it is...

I've always got the sense he is a kid that doesn't necessarily love football, but that he is such an incredible athlete it would be "wrong" for him to not play. Clearly, academics are very important to his family. So I don't think that means his top priority is choosing the school with best track to the NFL. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised to see him go to a school and once the realization occurs that he is not head and shoulders above his peers athletically he decides to hang up football and move on to other interests.

That's NOT a bad thing. If the kid likes running track more than playing football, or is more interested in being a doctor than an NFL DE, then do what makes you happy. Don't play football because you think you are "supposed" to.
