His dad is the HC of OU's baseball team?

That's 2 commits who have dads coaching other programs

Yeah, Hughes is a 2017, Bianco a 2018. The 2017 class is already loaded and just added 2 big time guys in the last week. There are going to be a ton of roster spots available, so the huge class makes sense. But they're probably also planning on quite a few guys not making it to campus.

I'll add this kid to the list later tonight or tomorrow.

Seems like LSU loads up crazy on SS this past class and the future classes.

I imagine because of their talents, they can always switch to other positions.

Yeah, high school shortstops typically offer the most positional versatility because they're typically the best athletes on their team.

It's funny, it seems like every time I take the newest news out of the headline of the thread, something pops and I have to change the title again.

There's a good chance that this kid came down with the family when LSU played OU in that regional series a few yrs back. That crowd was jacked the whole series & he saw The Box at its best.

Not really. Hughes wasn't the OU coach then. He had also left VaTech by the time they made their trip to Baton Rouge.

ETA: Hughes and Mainieri coached against each other from '99 to '05 in the Big East.
