I have followed him for a while because I am a Miami grad and he was covering stuff for them for a couple years and was killing it. He wasn't always the most gracious guy on the boards over there but it seemed like it was because he was very passionate about not bashing kids and negative message board stuff. He ran a tight ship. Either way I know he hasn't let me down and I still ask him questions about Miami and he nails it. Its free info so there shouldn't be any complaining about it.

MikeTiger09, this site (TD) allows a lot of pitiful posts (especially about LSU players, coaches, and recruits), and I'm glad there are some good alternatives -- such as Jimmy's work with NOLA.com and Gino's work at Tigalaya and his Twitter feed. When recruits visit the TD website, the two areas they will likely peruse are 1) Rant and 2) Recruiting. I can easily understand why some recruits are disgusted by what they perceive as feelings and thoughts of genuine LSU fans about the football team. Of the top 10 most visited LSU "fan" web sites, TD would probably rank at or near the bottom in likability by LSU football recruits, players, and staff.

When it comes to LSU recruiting, Jimmy and Gino are not perfect, but let their critics identify who else has been more accurate about LSU recruiting. In fact, I think I'll start a separate thread about current LSU recruiting analysts.
