Nola article
Don't talk shite about his weight. The fact that he dominated and showed great athleticism makes his potential even higher. The sky could be the limit for him once he gets in better shape. He looks very quick in his highlights.
Lloyd getting a grayshirt offer could be ideal for both him and the team. Spots are tight, but I trust Brick Haley completely with DL recruiting.
Update: Pick 6
Jimmy D also tweeted that he's still trying to get an offer. Brick Haley told FBL that they would follow him during the season.
I doubt we'll have space, but it wouldn't be a huge surprise.

With LSU constantly on the hunt for top defensive linemen, the Tigers were pleased to see what Cocoa (Fla.) High School defensive tackle Freddie Booth-Lloyd had to offer. At just under 6-foot-1, 318 pounds, he was easy to pick out of the crowd. A defending Florida state wrestling champion, he showed tremendous quickness and athleticism that quickly caught the eye of the LSU coaches.
quote:
"I was dominating people and everybody was looking," Booth-Lloyd said. "Coach (Brick) Haley was saying that I was doing really well and that he was about to go talk to Coach (Les) Miles. Miles said he loves me and that they are going to follow me really hard. They are flying out to my first game to see me in action. Garrett Brumfield shot me a text saying that he was coming to see me. He and I go back a little ways so they matched us up against each other. We started going at it and I showed the coaches what I could do. My coach said they (LSU coaches) told him that they brought Brumfield in just to go against me, because I was crushing fools."

Same here. Caneinsider.com loves his potential. They tweeted that he squats over 600 pounds and runs a 4.9 forty(even if that's not true, he's still super quick for his size)

It looks like he has really long arms for a DT

Best fricking line I've seen in a while from a recruit.

Easily. I've read it about 20 times and it's still great

Are you kidding me? Wow! With that speed and size maybe he could play fullback!
Posted on 7/17/13 at 9:35 pm to whodidthat
I like what he says in the article. Sounds like he has a mean streak. And any OL that has tremendous strength and good speed is in a good place IMO. They didn't say anything about his footwork, though.

I have a gut feeling he will be part of the class.(no pun intended)

Does this guy have the length to be the CR backup plan?
Posted on 7/17/13 at 9:47 pm to whodidthat
The staff will tell kids like him if they can have a good senior season and drop his weight to a certain number then they will get a commitable offer. Good luck to the young man.
And he talks like Mr. T.

Nah dude. He worked at D line with Brick Haley. If he doesn't pan out at D line he could play guard, but he doesn't have the height for tackle, even with long arms.
He's about 6 foot 1, which is a solid height for D-tackles or offensive guards

Crap he looks ready to play w/o pads, which is always a good sign. Looks like he's gotta mean streak too. Good too. So please FBL, come be the next LSU stud D lineman.
