Last I heard is that everything is looking better, and I hope so. The kid is a stud and he loves LSU.

I imagine things are about the same since he didn't get an offer during the June camp.

He didn't show up for the camp, so that didn't help things.

This is our guy for 2018 if he can get himself qualified. Only national elite back in our backyard and loves LSU. Just sucks he might not qualify. We need to pull some Eddie Lacy stuff because I'm feeling like we won't get the type of elite back we need in 2018 if it's not Franklin

I found this from SEC Country from 2 months ago. If you just read it and you will find out a lot of information about this kid. Seems to be a good kid and LSU might be slow playing him because they can. I think they know they have him and they want to make sure he qualifies.
Something is strange about the Carter situation too. I think LSU likes the Madison County alabama kid more than Carter and they both committed at the same time and I think they told Carter to hold off. Just speculation but something is odd about that. How do you have Franklin on the Side and you take 3 commits from RB's it doesn't add up. No way LSU takes 4 RB's in 18 with the 19 class looking good. I think they have the 2 backs and Franklin is in once the ACT works out.

Not to mention Joiner. There hasn't been a ton about this recruiting cycle that makes sense

LSU was shocked today, AJ was their best RB that was committed. Carter out performed Curry at camp, was bigger, faster.
LSU will go get somebody but they didn't expect it to go down like that.

Carter did not outperform Curry. Curry was outstanding, Carter just did enough to earn a scholarship offer.

Disagree. Curry is the best RB that is committed to us IMO, and I think he has a very bright future with us if he sticks.

Agreed I think curry will be a solid back in the future! Very high ceiling and if his work ethic is good no doubt he'll surprise a lot of people
