He ate grass before reaching the target on the first guy. I will admit that most of the OL were holding like it wasn't a penalty. But CL's last 2 goes were against the guy who has 0 offers (Skyler). So, I'm not sure doing well against a guy who may not even play division 1-A college football is a real gauge of him.

To be honest, I had heard of like 3 OL and about 6 DL so I had to look up the Skyler guy. I mentioned earlier in the thread that I'm GUESSING what happened is this. He is from Eugene and this deal was held in Portland I think...like 90 miles away. I bet that they needed maybe a few more linemen so they took some local kids simply as "filler". Otherwise, why in the world would a guy with 0 offers be invited to this deal where many were well known.

Herron is still receiving praise from his weekend:
Free from 247-Best of The Opening: Defense
quote:

Herron also impressed analysts with his productivity all weekend. With Herron, you’re not going to get a plethora of spin moves. He’s not going to beat you with technique. But more often than not, he is going to beat you. Herron used good leverage, quickness and willpower to stay in the backfield throughout the weekend in both the run-game drills and pass rush action.

article basically says Frank and Clemson commit Elijah Daniel were the two best 2014 DE there. They rated 2014 Da’Shawn Hand best.

Eddie Vanderdoes was the best DT:
quote:

Vanderdoes was exceptional in the one-on-one drills, displayed an elite quickness and power combination. Now up to 310 pounds, Vanderdoes moves around like he’s in the 250 range. USC and Oregon appear to be in the best shape for his services, but LSU, Penn State, Nebraska and others are strongly in the mix as well.

The Opening: Final Take

quote:

Eddie Vanderdoes, DT- Vanderdoes did not take very many reps over the course of the weekend but when he did, you noticed. The kid generates phenomenal power and explosiveness in a very short distance and no one had the same blend of quick first step and overwhelming power at the point of attack. Though he’s currently listed as a high four-star rated prospect, Vanderdoes looked five-star ready.

What about Da'Shawn Hand? Does he have any interest in us?

Like some of us were saying the other day, appeared to be:

Best DE - Herron
Best DT - Vanderdoes
Best OL - Raulerson (Texas commit)

As an LSU fan it's great to have one of those guys in hand and be in on another one.

I had hopes Raulerson might drink some Purple & Gold Kool-aide but he is one of those Burnt Orange through & through guys. I can't feel bad about not getting a chance with him when I want every Louisiana kid to be all LSU.

Glad you are still here. I never wanted to run you off. Maybe it wasn't my place to speak out but I hate to have to sift through all of the arguing to find some information. I'm old and used to the days when there was more information shared and less arguing about who's analysis over a kid is right.

Every person on here isn't trying to pick a fight but there are a few that will. I just don't see the sense in it. Maybe I should retire to a senior's board.
