We should absolutely pursue! Beggers cannot be choosers right now and we have no idea what will happen with Jennings at this point and McMillian is clearly not able to step in yet if something happens with Harris

I think AJ10 will be fine. Its sad to see so many that don't want him to start just forgo the justice system and kick him off team. How about Harris beat him man up for the job.

Quit wishing the worse on this kid.

AND I am hoping Harris wins the job as well.

Looks like we're signing the Purdue kid. Elite 11 competitor.. 4* kid.. Decent numbers as true freshman considering how bad his team was.. Decent mobility. Solid arm. Barton at 247 said he was an NFL talent and with the pieces surrounding him at LSU he would probably shine

he was benched after 5 games last season, but like you said with the talent we will have around him at LSU its hard not to good if you have throw the ball accurately.

I looked at his offer list, it wasn't impressive but I wish the best for him. If he comes in and slings it give him a fair chance against Harris and Franks next season

Did I ever wish him the worse? All I am saying is that he is facing felony charges and that it is probably a good idea to have a contingency plan...

It's hard to say but we need depth badly.. I'm not sure if anyone that doesn't run 4.3 would have much success with that oline based on what Simmons at 247 said. Idk much but he's a pro style he competed at the elite 11 and like I said Barton said potentially a NFL type talent. Maybe I'm putting to much stock into what he said but he does do this for a living so I'm hanging my hat on that for now. Here's to holding out hope ????

I say worst case scenario he's suspended 2-3 games and gets relegated to the backup role.

Correct. But he would have no reason to stay at that point

He would have been beat Jennings if it was a fair competition.

Why is everyone acting like Jennings won't be back on the team? I say worst case scenario he's suspended 2-3 games and gets relegated to the backup role.

Well I posted prior to that going down, and I also think he only gets a 2 game suspension. I was referring to the fact of getting a guy in case of transfer or anything else. Examples like Z. Lee, Garrett, Randall, Rivers, Rettig, and Bolden, who've left the team over the past 5-6 years for differing reasons.

No I'm sorry dude, he would not have and it was as fair as you could get considering you are trying not to lose games. I really think y'all have no clue just how raw Harris was as a QB and his run first tendency has got to stop considering how thin he is. I just hope he is focused and in control this year.

That's a good thing, because all of the miles QBs shite the bed.

The first question is why is he leaving and if he was third on the depth chart, then what is the reason?

That said, I'd have no problem with LSU taking a former UGA QB. Unlike Miles, Richt at least knows what he want's to do on offense and recruits his QBs accordingly. UGA wants to run a more "pro style" type of offense. Therefore they go out and scour the country looking for the best QBs that fit what they want to do (Shockley is really the only exception the Richt tenure).

On the other hand, Miles seemingly wants to run more of a traditional pro-style offense (QB under-center; I-formation, TEs tight to the line), but brings in guys who don't seem to fit that mold (Harris/Jennings/McMillan). All were more "spread" guys in HS. At LSU they're trying to be forced into doing something (a) they're not accustomed to and (b) may not utilize their skill sets to its highest potential.

If taking UGA's "cast offs" is the way to get good QBs who fit what you really want to do on offense, then do it!

Both Park and Bauta are dual threat types. Park at the very least is a very mobile pro style, and Bauta is full on dual. Most UGA fans, at least on the Internet, wanted one of them over the pro style statue Ramsey.

As a high school junior, 5 star Aaron Murray ran for over 900 yards at 9.5 ypc with 12 TDs. He carried the ball 87 times a piece his first two years at UGA. That's only 21 carries off Jennings who actually ran the read option. He had 7 rushing TDs at 3.5 ypc as a senior. He finished his career with 16 rushing TDs. That's four more than Jordan Jefferson in 73 less carries.

Jennings and McMillan were both more mobile QB that flat out dual threat. While I do agree that trying to force dual threats to play pro style, is a very steep climb, it wouldn't be so bad if we had one QB that could give us at least a 2 year cushion to train these guys. These guys that were in strict read option spread, or full on spread, have a tough time learning how to operate in a pro style offense and it takes years to develop that.
