People in N. Louisiana just generally like other schools. I know way to many people who prefer other schools to Lsu. Whether its OU, Texas school, or bama. (Mostly bandwagon) and its been like this for years. Shouldn't be surprised.

agreed. I see more and more pro bama shite everywhere . a lot of it is kids or families that hav eno alumni ties to LSU.

And lets face it, LSU has as much if not more self imposed negativity than bama. its much easier to pull for a winner. Why do you think there are so many Red Sox, Steelers, Packers, Heat, Cowboys, and Yankee fans nation wide. Those programs as a whole, are consummately viewed as "winners".

you guys are such tools. (no offense LsuTool)

i don't claim monroe, but i am from there. four friends of mine from high school came to lsu. when i go back, family and friends ask me what i hear about lsu. many, many people there absolutely love lsu. if you think that "the fence is down," then you're an idiot.

the fact is that the reason most people in NELA who dislike lsu is because they're ulm or latech fans who are chicken littles.

relax, put the cap back on that bottle of tylenol you were about to swallow, and look back over our list of commits. sure, we hate to lose good players to other schools, but we've got a pretty stellar class of guys that are gonna be great, so i'm not worried much about this player or that player committing elsewhere.

im not saying we have no ground there, but it sure seems pretty damn easy to pull kids from there now. Call it what you will, but there is a definite presence of bama in that area.

Maybe anti-lsu as well, but there seems to be a much easier ability to leave that area now.

are we talking about 2 recruits? i know they're both great, but it's a mistake to say that losing 2 guys = bama recruiting stronghold.

we sign kids from alabama very regularly. does that mean that the state of alabama = lsu recruiting stronghold?

I don't think anyone is saying it's a Bama stronghold now..but losing several good recruits over the years that should have been locks to LSU(and some were) is telling

I live in West Monroe and I would say the majority are LSU or LaTech. I just think Bama on its current run is what has swayed a few. Too bad for those recruits that the run is over and won't get to experience whatever they were hoping for.

From someone who is from Mandeville and lived and worked in the sports talk world in Monroe for the last 10 years this town is still as pro tigers as it gets. Unfortunately you will always find Billy Bandwagon who wants to pull for the team who is currently winning ie bama. Was there a cheer for Hootie yes. However the cheers came from teammates and family. Much like They were when Cam Robinson made his choice.

South LA fans want to talk about all the North LA recruits who go places other than LSU. CLEAN UP YOUR OWN BACKYARD! Where did Landon Collins come from last year? Year after year South LA recruits go elsewhere. Maybe you guys need to repair your own fences . . . . . . . . . .
