How does one get so impressed by a game at state?

Despite State's overall play and record, their D Line is playing at a level that is impressive.

We forget, these players sometimes really focus on their position coach. And State's has to be impressing.

Plus they had rappers there.

was molton scheduled to visit LSU this weekend?
if not, then the big picture question is, how could miss. state get a visit from a la. player with a LSU offer and LSU has no game day visit from molton. someone please text stud. i'll wait for the reply.

You know Moton is a 2015 guy, right? There is a ton of time left in his recruitment.

If they indeed had folks such as Kevin Gates and others perform for these kids, I can see how he could have gotten caught up in the moment. These kids idolize and look up to these artists. That paired with the fact that lowly Moo state put up a damn good fight against the #1 team in the country and that freshman D-lineman Chris Jones(I think that's his name) has been playing really well this year makes it understandable to me, but I'm glad it was just a spare of the moment thing.

1 year does not a career make but I have noticed the same thing. Not only did Chris Jones look good against LSU but he looked better than ANY LSU DL that I have seen all season. I know LSU recruited him...maybe a tad late, but what is a little disappointing is we sign umpteen DL in 2013 class. LSU's DL is not doing the job this season either on stopping the run or the pass rush and yet here a TR FR looks great the few times I've seen him. Once again, that does NOT mean that a Bower, Gilmore, Neal, Bain, CL, etc won't pan out great, but for a position of need (DL), certainly none of them came close to doing a "Chris Jones" type job this season.

Sad thing is, I think that only Bain, Patterson and Gilmore are the only freshmen D-linemen eligible for red shirts. I'm pretty sure that Bower and Neal have played this year.

You are correct about the RS situation I believe. I forgot about M Patterson who I liked on his HS clips. But Bower has played, Neal has played, obviously CL has played a lot. I'm not as concerned as some about redshirts. They are really from the horse and buggy era anyway.
1) How can you sign 25 a year with an 85 total limit and redshirt a lot. 5 X 25 is a lot harder to fit under the 85 limit even with transfers, etc than 4 X 25
2) The way the early departures are to the NFL, any good player you only have for 3 years anyway....if they aren't that good who cares if you lose a year

Redshirting has basically gone the path of travel agents....pretty irrelevant really!

This is the same Miss State defense that gave up 59 points to LSU's offense?
