Other than the clear bag chasers, guys in the portal tend to start looking at teams they have some connections to. That’s one reason we have been so successful getting former LA kids to come back home and play here.

This kid is from Alabama. If they want him, they are going to have the inside track whether we express any interest or not.

With the current roster situation, all of you really need to settle down on the portal expectations. We likely won’t take anyone else until the next period. At that point, we will know if we need spots for McKinley or Bussy and who else is leaving for the pros or the portal. Then we will know how many spots there are to work with and what the biggest needs are.
