Regardless of what you want, it doesn't mean he won't be a 5 star by the end of it. His skills and measurables put him in that conversation.

Are you saying you want the kid to not be a 5 star in the end rankings? Even if he deserves it?

Thats what happens when you hire a real HC.

The "real" head coach needs all the 5-star players he can get. He had by-far the most talented team in his conference last year and the "real" coach wound up in sixth place. Fourth in his division.

He lost to a team he was favored to beat by 23 points - SMU by a score of 38-16 (22 points) in spite of accumulating an astounding 303 total yards against the defensive juggernaut (ha ha) among others he shouldn't have lost to.

I really don't care if he's a 5 star or not, but as a long time coach I always want the best for kids. I re-read my sentence and although my grammar was correct it can be misleading. I would love to get him, however I do not want us to use him as an example of a 5 star we missed on when we really weren't much of a contender in the first place. And I don't want people to think we missed on him because we rushed in on a bunch of 3 stars. He is absolutely a great HS player, I am not denying that!

I get what you are saying but I don't think people will be reeling about that when they look back on this finished class. Maybe if this would of happened on NSD but it did happen with prospects like Marvin Wilson and people got over that after like a month so.
