With Teddy gone to L'ville and Dak still solid with Mullen, does this wrap up our QB recruiting for the year and tell us to put the full court press on a big name must get next year?

Damn. I just saw that Teddy committed to Louisville. That is a HUGE pickup for that program. They'll kick some serious arse in the Big East.

And yeah, I don't see us trying to get anyone else. I see us putting the full court press on Matt Davis, Jameis Winston, Nick LaSpada, and some others. I think if we land Matt Davis or LaSpada, we could go ahead and finish with QBs for that class as well. Both are just studs. Hopefully Rivers develops well and gives thee guy behind him plenty of time to develop as well. If we do that, we are set at QB for years to come.

If Teddy went to a sorry arse program like Louisville, then that should tell you something about his true talent level, or at least his desire to compete against Division 1 level athletes. Damn, just damn???

I'm not so sure if it was his lack of desire to compete against D-1 athletes, or his desire to play along side Eli, but obviously staying close to home wasn't a big factor at all for him.

I think he has legit talent, but I am wondering if his desire to play with Eli was a lot stronger than any of us had anticipated. I think he's the real deal and I'd love to have hi in purple and gold.

Also, Louisville has another 4* Dual-Thread QB committed to them out of Louisville, KY... I'd be pissed if I were him. He was going to be the stud of his class playing for the hometown team, and all of a sudden Teddy shows up on campus.

I didn't think we needed more than two in this class anyway. Take two this year and two next year.

He wanted to play early because his mom has cancer

LSU turned him down and he prolly didn't want to go back to Miami so he had to go some where

I would've gone to USF if I were him. A lot closer to home, I am pretty sure they'd give him immediate playing time, and it's in the Big East and pretty much Louisville's talent level...

Yes, we have all the QBs we are going to have in this class.

We will still communicate with Prescott but he is going to Miss State. Bridgewater is done.

We fulfilled our immediate need with Mett...a must. Moreover, we have a nice prospect in Rivers who will have all the time he needs to grow into the position. A lot of people like to rag on Rivers but I like him as a recruit.

Hopefully, we sign another top 10 caliber QB recruit next year.

True...it should not be so hard.

But the cold hard facts are what our offense has been the past couple of years and the utter failure to develop a decent QB in years.

If I was a top QB recruit, barring blind unconditional love for LSU it would be hard for me to want to play QB in Baton Rouge.

Hopefully, this reality will change soon.

Honestly, if we get rid of Crowton and get a true QB coach and a halfway decent offense... I think a lot more QBs will start looking at us. Sort of like Chavis and linebackers. It'll become easier to get these big name guys.

Keep an eye out for Matt Davis and Nick LaSpada next year. Both seem to project to be our biggest targets. Both are insane.

Agree on LaSpada, he is a dual-threat great with tremendous upside he is going to tear up Mass D1 this coming season. Kid is a game-changer on the ground and through the air.
