quote:

“He had just attended his grandmother’s funeral, someone he was very, very close to, two days before the competition,” dad Owen explained. “We buried her one day, and he was off to Oregon the very next. Everyone else there had a two-day head start. He had to overcome that adversity. That showed mental toughness.”

quote:

As time passed, both sides grew closer in their relationship. It was near the day’s end when Brennan looked at Miles and Cameron square in the eyes, shook hands and said, “I’m committing to you and this team! I want to be your QB.”

quote:

“I talk to Coach Miles once a week,” Myles said. “We rarely talk football. I send him pictures of when I go fishing.” Myles’ biggest catch is no fish story. “I caught a six-foot Wahoo in Destin, Florida when I was 7 years old,” he said while laughing. “The fish was three feet bigger than me.”

quote:

The Elite 11 camp in Los Angeles on July 5 was another triumph for Brennan. Although he did not arrive with much fanfare, he lit up the competition. Reporters and analysts on site from the west coast and northwest came away mightily impressed.

quote:

Brennan faced off against elite recruit Dylan McCaffrey (6-5, 196), a current quarterback commit to Michigan and the younger brother of Stanford’s Heisman candidate Christian McCaffrey. Ironically, Christian was a celebrity coach on Myles Brennan’s team. The two forged a close bond

then, I read this...
quote:

If anything, Brennan sometimes has too much velocity on the ball when firing down the field.

...and, I was done. Can't throw the short pass; can't play QB at LSU!

quote:

The top two quarterbacks at LSU for 2016 are a pair of juniors, Brandon Harris and Danny Etling. Redshirting as a true freshman at LSU in 2017 is a viable option for Brennan. “They’ll be seniors in ’17. I’m not against that at all,” Brennan said. “It would be a whole year to gain weight and learn and get my body SEC ready.”

This dude is COMMITTED!

quote:

“(Miles and Cameron) explained how I would fit into the system. I want to go where it’s a great fit on offense, where we can win a National Championship and (I have) the best chance to get drafted into the NFL. Everytime I go back to LSU, I fall in love more and more.”

quote:

fellow commitments for the 2017 class

quote:

“I’d say 75 percent of my touchdown passes went to Jhamon,” Brennan recalled. Chemistry came fast for him and the 6-foot-3, 217 pound Ausbon

I love this kid so much already. He's could very well be the missing link to a National Title...

Other pieces of info on Brennan....
What we know to date:
MS 4A player of the year
He is a two time high school all-american
Sophomore and Junior
An Elite 11 selection in LA
An Elite 11 Fianalist in Oregon
A South East Sports Elite 10 selection
A State of MS Dandy Dozen selection.
There may be something there after all.. I am willing to wait 3 years for him to come on the scene in BR. Who knows what may happen before then... All I know is this kid is a Tiger and nothing will change that and he will not stop until he brings National Championships to LSU!!! Write it down!!!!

I'm amped. We have 2 excellent QBs committed in this class. Can't wait to see both suit up for the Tigers
