I haven't read much about him on here lately. I was told yesterday from a BOL (I know how much you guys trust their stuff) subscriber that Bama is now in the lead for him. Anyways, just wondering if there was an update on Stinson from our side. Obviously, he would be a great pickup for our class. The kid can play.

That's because BOL's latest war room says that they lead. Youngblood and Watts are jokes though if you ever read their site.

No, he's really not joking. I've read the BOL through my buddies account for the last two years and they literally do lead for everyone. I forget the guys name and I don't feel like looking it up but the RB from Texas last year that was committed to UCLA for a time and then they fired Dorrell and he was looking at LSU and Bama(I think he played at Katy) was an 85% lean to Alabama after Dorrell was fired according to BOL.

BOL said Alabama is in the lead for William Campbell and Reuben Randle. Don't listen to BOL. It's crap like Finebaum.

O I thought it only b/c of the hatred for Bama. I've never read that site so I didn't know. So basically, if I hear anything from BOL, as far as Bama leads for so and so, I can pretty much disregard it? Is that what you're telling me?

ETA: no one has answered one of my questions. Is there any kind of update from our side?

No. The latest update was the BOL war room in which they told their subscribers that they lead for him and FSU and LSU are playing catch-up. I don't know where Stinson is going and he's been a soft verbal to FSU for quite some time but it's the simple fact of the matter that every player on their War Room has bama leading. They even talked about how Branden Smith and kenny Bell were just feeling too much pressure from instate people through friends and family and alluded to Alabama being the place they liked the most if not for the pressure.

As if the pressure to stay in Alabama is never an issue. Those people jerk off to saban and julio at night, the sick fvcks.

You can have Stinson. We would much rather have Fletcher Cox and Montez Robinson. They are both bigger and faster.

How is BAMA going to sign all 37 players this year?

They will break a record of Rivals Points...and another certain RC

Serious question so temper your Gump-ness and tone it down. I'm not asking from a vs. LSU perspective. I'm asking as one interested in recruiting.

How do ya'll look with Cox and Robinson. I seem to remember Robinson talking about a more northern school besides Auburn before he committed and Cox I would guess will stay in-state now, no?

BOL War Room also said that Olivier Vernon now is in favor of going to Alabama over Miami because of the half-empty seats at Miami compared to Alabama.

So Alabama is going to sign Fletcher Cox, Montez Robinson, Ed Stinson, Olivier Vernon, William Ming, and Anthony Orr.

And they signed four DE's last year.

Also do not forget Bama is also in the lead for Randle, Mingo, Jackson, Bell, and will get visits from Loston, Davenport etc...

Bama has 9 Srs, and 18 commitments, 2 locks = they are going to have a hard time placing what they have so far.

They have over 89 Jrs are lower on the roster, counting the walkons and greg shirts (don't forget 35 players Nick brought).

This brings up an interesting point. We all know the scholly limits so it begs the question, how does Nicky sign all these guys? Where will the schollies come from?
If he pulls some from current players, and he would have to pull a bunch to make room, what does that say to future recruits? "We want you but we can't promise you anything more than a year."
If I'm a recruit, I'd have to take a seriuos look at that.

Since they have 12 national titles they get an extra 6 scholarships every year (every 2 titles nets them an extra scholly). It's called the "Bear Rule" in honor of bear's tradition and ability to offer a scholarship to anyone he damn-well pleased.

Frankly, I think it sucks but it's the world we live in. It is what it is..........
